first day of senior year:
the girls had spend all of yesterday evening and night together, partying, drinking (some more than others) and attempting to soak up every last bit of summer they had before having to heading home and prepare for their first day.
melina came over prepared. she had so much time to spend before school started. so much so that she drove over to tai and marcy's neighborhood and casually walked into marcy's house.
"good morning mr and mrs morales" melina said with a heart-warming smile.
"melina please just call us veronica and antonio" they said for the 100th time.
"oh you know i can't do that" melina said while opening marcy's bedroom door. marcy was still knocked out. not even out of her clothes from last night. melina sat next to her and sighed for a spilt second before smacking her stomach.
"JESUS CHRIST MELINA" marcy shrieked.
"wakey wakey marceline morales we got school" melina said ever so innocently.
the two made their way down the block to pick up tai, only to be met with toby with a bandage on his right cheek.
"i wouldn't try if i were you" he said referring to tai.
the girls looked at each other and shrugged. they headed to school knowing that tai was more than capable of handling things on her own.
tai woke up around 11am, completely unphased by the fact that she'd already missed 3 classes. she took her sweet, sweet time getting ready. stepping foot out of her house around noon.
after arriving at school she headed straight for the office to get her scheduled and late slip. right as she walked in she caught a glimpse of a familiar looking girl exiting the room. she was tall and slim, with strawberry blonde mane. she seemed preppy.
"late on the first day of senior year ms. nguyen?" the secretary that had been stuck dealing with all of tai's highschool bullishit for 4 years now said in an annoyed tone.
"mhm yeah" tai replied still examining the strangely familiar face of the new girl. then it clicked.
tai grabbed her schedule from the secretary quickly letting out a thanks before trying to catch up to the girl.
"HEY. HEY YOU." tai shouted more aggressively than she need to. at least it worked. the girl took a sharp stop.
"wilson?"
"oh hey tai" scarlette said in a nonchalant manner.
"bro what i- we thought you moved" tai said showing how utterly confused she was.
"guess you thought wrong" scarlette said carrying around her new snobby persona.
in a blink of an eye tai thought thousands of thoughts. scarlette has pearls, makeup, silky hair, tennis skirts, mini purse and a wicked stare. how could one of her oldest friends change so much in such a small amount of time, and without her.
