"Here goes nothing, I guess," I told myself, unsure of what the outcome would be. My life depends on it. This better work. In a second, I blacked out completely. I had to trust the team with my life. I guess this is the real test...

I didn't know how long it had been... Regardless, I woke up to see Root standing next to my stretcher, where I laid. We were moving so I assumed we were in the ambulance.

"Did it work?" I asked.

"Well, are you alive?"

"As can be," I replied.

"Then it did, didn't it, sweetie?" she said.

I chuckled, relieved that I was alive... And dead. If that makes sense. Root picked up a paper bag and walked over to me.

"Welcoming gift, from me," she whispered and gave me a warm smile. I returned it. I opened the bag to see a chocolate brownie. I hadn't eaten one in years. I hungrily took it out of the bag and ate a piece, the scrumptious sweet taste of the brownie melting in my mouth. I rolled my eyes in satisfaction.

After I had finished my brownie, the ambulance stopped. I looked out the window and saw a cemetery. Of course, they had to make it look like I was really dead. Besides, it was a dead zone. No cameras to see me alive. I got out of the ambulance, after grabbing my gun, which Root brought, thank you Root!

I saw Reese and Finch get out of the front seats and walk to where me and Root were standing.

"I have just died and spontaneously come back to life..." I said, "SAY HI TO FEMALE JESUS!" I shouted, throwing my arms up and starting to walk backwards, my voice still echoing through the empty cemetery. I turned away from them, letting my hands fall to my sides.

"I think I'm ready to be born again," I whispered to myself, excitement building up in me as I knew that I was going to put my skills to good use.

"So, Harold, what's our next stop?" I asked, wanting to get things started.

"Glad you asked, Ms. Shaw, we have one more member of the team that you should meet. We head back to the library and then we see if we get a number," Finch replied.

"Another one?"

"Yes, Ms. Shaw, and I have reason to believe this will be your favourite."

Time skip to the library

We arrived at the library and I saw Fusco enter holding a leash.

"Ms. Shaw, meet Bear," Finch said as a huge German shepherd sprinted towards him and then turning to me to smell the newbie of the team.

"He's military trained and responds to Dutch commands," I heard Reese say.

"Bear, zitten (sit)," I said. The dog did as it was told and sat down looking at me with his tongue out. "He's adorable."

"Indeed, he is, Ms. Shaw," Finch agreed, "He was rescued from abusive owners, conveniently, one of our previous numbers!"

After a bit of bonding time with Bear, I heard Reese's steps getting closer.

"Hey, Reese. Come to tell me we have a new number?" I asked.

"What gave it away?" he said sarcastically, a smirk growing on his face.

"Maybe the fact that you have two loaded guns in your hands?" I replied, giving him a smirk of my own. "Alright, then, let's go!"
