That Happened

"You can do it Audrey, picture the bowl in your mind and try to levitate it. And be sure to focus." said Kanan for the fifth time. Ezra had gone out with Sabine and Hera and insisted that Amelia stay on the Ghost and learn Jedi stuff from Kanan. Amelia was very stubborn however and it took reasoning from pretty much everyone to persuade her to stay. Amelia groaned in frustration, "Let's face it, I'm not going to be able to do this Force stuff so we might as well stop here.". Both Kanan and Amelia were sitting in the common room with Kanan urging Amelia to levitate the bowl with the Force. "You helped open the door when we were escaping Luminara's prison, and you managed to sheath the Inquisitor's lightsaber not to mention push him. You just need practice, and focus, and then you might be just as good as Ezra." Kanan said patiently, "Give it another go.". Amelia sighed, "Alright.". She imagined the object in front of her in her head. It was half a ball and was hollow. She extended her hand and presented in her head the object slowly rising up off the table. She heard a rattling noise and knew it was the bowl. She willed it to lift off the table, up! she commanded in her head, up! and slowly but surely, it started to float. It wavered up and down for quite a while before Kanan confirmed to Amelia that the bowl had stopped bobbing in the air and Amelia let it back down.

"I really did it then?" Amelia asked. Kanan said, "Yes, you did. It's progress. If you keep doing that then-" "I'm not swatting boxes away with your laser sword while standing on the roof 10,000 kilometers in the air. And remember what you said, you're not my Master and I'm not your whatever you call a Jedi student. At least until Ez becomes an official Jedi. So you're not allowed to train me because of your Jedi rules." "I know that, and I will find you a fitting teacher some day. But for now, you're both stuck with me." "What if by the time you do find me a teacher I already know everything because you taught me?" "You won't, because I'm not teaching you everything." "You're incredibly frustrating you know that?" Amelia said jokingly. "Eh, you are too. You wouldn't take no for an answer until Hera said so." . Just then, Hera, Sabine and Ezra entered through the ladder and Chopper and Zeb came through another door. Kanan got up and asked, "Everyone okay?"

Hera: Yeah we're fine but I scraped the Phantom's underbelly.

Kanan says with a smirk: You?

Hera: It was someone unavoidable, once your plan went south.

Kanan: Ah there we go knew there had to be some way that it was my fault.

Hera: And you were right dear. Zeb I'll need the Phantom ready to pick up supplies from Fulcrum. Adjust the steering and run a diagnostic, Chopper and Ezra will help you fix any problems you'll find.

Both Ezra and Zeb turned around with gloomy faces as they were attempting to leave the situation, and Zeb scoffed, "Really. Have you met them?" "Hey!" Ezra said slapping him on the arm. Hera continued as she walked away, "And I'm leaving soon so get to it!" Zeb and Ezra grumpily went up the ladder while Chopper followed suit. Kanan also left, leaving Sabine and Amelia in the common room.

Amelia said, "Sorry if I'm cutting into your brooding session, what happened out there that got you worked up?" Sabine turned her head sharply at Amelia's voice. "How did you know I sat down?" "Well first of all I can feel your weight denting the seat, and second of all I can feel your angry vibrations. I can feel everyone on the Ghost. Well maybe except for Chopper but he's easy to identify, after I nearly got rolled over 6 times and bumped into him most likely more than 10 times. If you're confused, welcome to the club. Now enough about me what went on out there? By my guess you were being chased and had an argument with either Ezra or Hera." "It's not much of an argument. Do you think Hera's too secretive? There's something going on and she's not telling us anything. Like how she's getting info from someone called Fulcrum." Amelia felt for the bowl and grabbed it, then said while fingering it, "Why don't you just ask?" "I did, no results." "She probably thinks it's a very complex situation and we wouldn't understand even if she did tell us.". Sabine got up and said, "You know what, I need to know." and made for the cockpit. "Good luck," said Amelia as she put on her headphones, "you're definitely going to need it.".

Not a few minutes later, Amelia put down her headphones. "So how'd it go? Jarrus walked out and now you." "I'm going with Hera to meet Fulcrum." "Can I come then?" "Well, I'm not sure about that-" "Just kidding I don't care and I have zero intentions of going. Now I wonder what the boys are up to." Amelia then got up and went to the ladder leaving Sabine in the common room. What a conundrum there was. She arrived to Ezra coughing away while Zeb said while laughing, "Sorry kid, I told him to wait till you were out! Bwahahaha!" "Not funny!" Ezra yelled, then proceeded to jump onto Chopper and bang him. "Wait! The diagnostic's still running!" Shouted Zeb. Ezra retorted, "You can run a diagnostic on Chopper!" as Chopper wheeled right over Zeb's foot. Amelia spun out of the way and climbed back down, then heard a soft beeping noise. She thought it might have been Chopper since he beeps sometimes and went to her and Sabine's room. She lay down on her bed and thought of the times before her blindness and before her parents disappeared. She smiled to herself as she remembered her mother telling them stories and her father attempting to catch Ezra because he was running about all over the place.

She decided to talk with Ezra. She walked out and stood in front of her door, waiting. And soon enough, the boys minus Kanan came wooshing past. Amelia shot out her arm and pulled Ezra into the room. "Gaah! Oh hey Lia, what's up?" "I miss Mom and Dad." "Uh, yeah, me too." "Why exactly did we have to move into that tower?" Amelia asked. Ezra responded, "Well, it wasn't safe. The Imperials might have come back looking for us. By the way, have you figured out Kanan's secret?" "Where are you you little sneak?" boomed Zeb. Ezra whispered quickly, "Into the vents!" and he disappeared. Amelia shrugged and went out only to bump into Chopper with Ezra sitting on top of him minutes later in the pantry. Ezra then fell onto Zeb's space waffles. Amelia hurriedly backed off and a fight later Hera's voice sounded through the comm. "Spectre 2 to Spectre 4 come in.  Spectre 2 to Spectre 4 come in!" Zeb picked up and said, "Go ahead Spectre 2." "You did run a full diagnostic on the Phantom, correct?" "Of course!" "And you checked the results?" Zeb suddenly had a panic expression on his face and Ezra shook his head. They all ran to the screen thingy with the diagnostic results.

Zeb said, "Ehe, Spectre 2, there might be a small problem with the fuel line." Hera said angrily, "Small problem?! Uh guys, we have a situation!". Amelia sensed another argument coming on and quietly knocked and let herself into Kanan's room, told Kanan, and sat down opposite to him. Seconds later, they hear Zeb and Ezra yelling outside. "This is your fault! You and Chopper!" "You were the one running the diagnostic! You should've checked!" "I'll check you, into the wall!" (I think that's what he said) "We have to tell Kanan, but don't tell him it's our fault." "Okay.". The door opened and they both said, "Kanan!" before Kanan stopped them. "Hera and Sabine are in danger." he said. "Wow, how could you tell? Could you sense it?" replied Ezra. "No, your sister told me and we both heard you yelling outside the door." Amelia said, "Busted.". Kanan said into his comm, "We're on our way, Ghost out.".

Eventually they made it to the location as Sabine and Hera were on top of the Phantom shooting monsters and they turned on the lights scaring them away. Amelia then opened the door so Zeb and Ezra could stand there and make intimidating poses. Unfortunately, the creatures realised that the Ghost's lights had no effect on them and they resumed their attack. "The light's not hurting them!" Sabine said. Hera replied, "Then we'd better move.". Hera, Sabine, Zeb and Ezra then began shooting at the creatures as the Ghost slowly descended. "Sabine!" Ezra said, "I got your back!" only to get wrecked by one of the creatures, ending up having Sabine save him instead. "Nice moves back there champ." said Zeb sarcastically as they all ran into the Ghost. "Don't tell Lia." "Hehe, no promises kid. Chopper close it up!" yelled Zeb as more creatures attempted to get in. After some time, Ezra said, "Thanks for saving me back there." "Don't read too much into it kid." said Sabine as she climbed up the ladder. Amelia laughed at her brother's misfortune and Zeb patted Ezra on the shoulder. They picked up the Phantom and Sabine shot at the creatures as they got away.

Amelia got to listen in on Sabine and Hera kind of scold the boys for not fixing the Phantom properly and when she got to her and Sabine's room she heard Hera say, "Do you think you can trust me?" and Sabine replied, "I think I can try." and Hera walked off. "So, it all went well then?" Amelia said, much to Sabine's shock. She jumped a little and said, "Yeah, I think it did.".
