Ah Jedi training, one of the many things that entertained Amelia a great deal as long as she wasn't the one doing it. Today, her Kanan and Ezra were near the fields of Lothal, with Kanan telling Ezra to step outside himself and make a connection with another being and Amelia listening next to them. "Can we do this another day?" asked Ezra impatiently. Kanan replied, "We can do it now, if you focus." "Just throw the rock Mr Jarrus." Amelia said. Kanan said before throwing the rock, "I think we're beyond you calling me Mr Jarrus Aria. Just call me Kanan." "Okay Mr Kanan.".

Kanan threw the rock into the field and almost immediately a Lothcat jumped out, hissing angrily. Ezra said, "I don't think it wants to connect." "Well, Kanan did just throw a rock at it." commented Amelia. Ezra retorted, "Thanks Captain Obvious." "You're welcome Sir Flirts-A-Lot.". Kanan continued, "Amelia don't distract your brother. Ezra, you're resisting, it can sense it." "He can sense it? What is he like a Padawan Cat?" said Ezra sarcastically. The Lothcat growled as it leaped up at Ezra and he fell back. Both Amelia and Kanan chuckled. "Ehe, you don't seem to be getting it." said Kanan as he watched Ezra struggle to push the cat away from him. Ezra shot back, "I get that this fur ball is trying to kill me!" he struggled for a while before managing to throw it off. "Give me your lightsaber and I'll make the connection!" he said. Amelia nearly toppled over and gaped at Ezra. Kanan gave Ezra one of those classic parent looks that always tell you you messed up and said sternly, "Excuse me?".

Ezra sighed and said, "Look I'm sorry I just don't see the point in this." "The point, is that you're not alone. You're connected to every living being in the universe. But to discover that, you have to learn to let your guard down, you have to be willing to attach to others, like your sister." said Kanan, and Ezra looked back at the once angry and hissing Lothcat, which was now smiling and mewing, docile as can be. "And what if I can't?" Ezra asked. Kanan replied, "If you keep hanging on to your past, keeping trying to protect yourself, then you'll never be a Jedi." "Then maybe I'll never be a Jedi." "Kid, whatever's going on with you, you need to spill it.". "Sorry to wear you out.". Silence. Kanan said, "Amelia." "Today is one of the days Ezra hates *even though he shouldn't* ahem, the day the Emperor rose to power; Empire Day." Amelia said.

Suddenly, the Lothcat growled and leapt back into the field. TIE Fighters in the sky. "What are so many TIEs doing out this far?" Wondered Ezra. Kanan said, "Nothing good, come on!" and the three rushed down. They entered a sort of pub/café where 3 other Imperials were walking around. Ezra reached for his slingshot wristband and Kanan put his arm out in front if him and said softly, "Not unless we have to.". Hera and Zeb sat at a table and one of the Imperials looked at them intensely, and another one said "Over here!" and they went over to a rodian and compared him to a picture of another rodian. While the rodian stood nervously Ezra saw the picture and was shocked. "Tseebo?" he murmured, "What?" Kanan asked. Ezra said, "Nothing.". Eventually, they left the rodian alone and one went to the I think bartender Jho and said "The Imperial Holonet Broadcast should play here at all times!" as he knocked over a drink. The bartender said, "No one's requested it for, well, ever." "It's, the law." so he turned it on.

Ezra scowled at the announcement of Empire Day, and after a while the Imperials got annoyed when a sudden interruption told everyone to boycott all Empire Day celebrations. The Imperial ordered the bartender to shut it off, but he said maliciously, "Can't, it's  the law." and the Imperials left. Amelia zoned out for a while, she was never really interested in anything except music, scaring people and disapproving of bombs. She heard Kanan say that the Empire would be after them again for what they planned for the parade. Ezra told Kanan that they'd have to do without him as that day brought back too many memories and he needed to be alone. He walked off as the others stared at him, and Amelia whispered to Kanan, "Want me to follow him?" "Go.".
