A Different ZING! | Male Reader X Mavis Dracula

Part 6. A short flight

I walked through the tunnel, changing back to my regular clothes mid walk through the haunted forest and once I reached the border of the forest I could hear my voice being called out, I followed the voices to find a squad of police officers wandering around with a flashlight in hand as the sun rose from the hills.

"There you are! Almost got the whole town looking for you!" One of the officers said to me as they began directing me back to one of their cars.

"Am I in trouble officers?" I asked then as I sat in the back of their car.

"No! Not at all! A friend of your's called us from across the world, the Johnny kid was worried when you hadn't replied to his texts and last saw you at the pub beside the terrible forest, you've been in there for a few days!" The officer explained as we approached a town, they explained to me that they investigated my inn room for clues but couldn't find anything so they put all my extra belongings in a box at their station.

After a brief chat with the police (and telling them that I was "lost" in the woods for days) I began making my way to the nearby airport to go back home, I filled the missing spot in me for those few days at the hotel, it's still there now though since I left it, maybe even bigger then before but... I can live with the pain knowing that Mavis is safe. Plus this Monster Fest that's about to start isn't helping much with my emotions either, seeing all the people I just met seen as nothing but a fairy tale or horror story.

I took a taxi to the airport, lucky for me the driver was the same guy as before, he had heard what had happened and gave me the ride for free. So here I am, I just bought a plane ride home and I'm listening to my music with a crappy pair of headphones I grabbed at a shop before I left as my phone charges on the plane... and of all the films that the guy sitting next to me could of picked... he had to pick Twilight.

It felt like I could still feel her lips, god I'm gonna hate my life knowing that feeling only once.

Looking out the window I could see all the clouds pass the plane by... then I saw a bat... wait? A bat?!

"Dracula is that you? How'd you get up here?" I asked, he didn't seem to hear me and he began flying ahead of the plane. I was confused as to where exactly he was until I heard the pilot's voice over the intercom suddenly change accent.

"Folks, I'm gonna turn on the seat belt sign. Just a precaution while we... While we hear a special announcement for my dear friend Y/n" The hypnotized pilot spoke.

"My dear boy, I have made a terrible mistake. I was trying to keep my baby to myself, because I knew I would always protect her. But I realize now, children need to discover things for themselves. They'll stumble and fall, laugh and cry, but such is life. The truth is, you and Mavis are meant to be. You Zinged! If she must give her trust to someone else, I'm thankful that it is you, Y/n. I hope you can hear me and forgive me" The pilot added, a woman screamed next to me as she looked at her window, I looked at the same window and saw the bat.

I nodded to Drac and he turned the plane around.

Once it was on the ground I leaped out and met Drac and the gang back at monster fest, where Dracula was now wearing many layers of sun screen and a hat while people questioned the gang about themselves... guess there are other humans who won't hurt them and can probably speak for them too.

"We need to get you back to the hotel Y/n" Drac said as we passed a shop.

"Just give me a moment real quick!" I asked for their time as I went in and bought a black and red skateboard and then met back up with the gang in the cart/car thingy.

"I got her a gift too!" Dracula said proudly as he pulled a travelling bag with the hotel's logo on it.

"She'll love it" I replied as we got through the tunnel.

Drac could barely wait, he leaped out of the car in broad daylight and flew me up to Mavis's window... and we kinda crash landed inside.

"Dad?" Mavis said in shock as she saw her burning father standing up from a cloud of smoke.

"I-I'm fine. I'm just a little sunburnt. Honey, I always thought the worst thing ever would be seeing you go. But the worst is seeing you unhappy. Mavey, I want you to live your life" Drac said to his daughter as his body began to heal.

Mavis sighed, "I don't know how I'm supposed to do that" is all she could say.

"You know, Mommy already gave you her birthday present. Can I now give you mine?" Dracula asked his daughter as he showed her the black and pink travel bag.

"What do I need that for?" Mavis asked her father in confusion.

"Oh it comes with, a quite annoying, accessory" Dracula said as he spun the bag around to show me, just barely hiding to the shape of the bag. Mavis looked shocked and somewhat worried.

"You?" She could barely understand why I was there.

"It's good to see you too" I said lovingly to her, now seeing her tired eyes and that one of her hands was fiddling with the watch I gave her on her wrist.

"Why are you back?" She asked me with worry still in her voice.

"Because I love you Mavis, also apparently we zinged, so I guess my love is for you, my zing" I answered.

"I'm your zing?" She had a small smile building up on her face now, she was surprised. But it faded back a bit.

"But... you told me you didn't want to be with a... monster" Mavis said confused.

"I only said that because I was in terror thinking that your father would remove my blood from my veins" I jokingly explained with Drac chipping in at the end saying "I wouldn't have! I- okay no he's right, I would've drank his blood".

"Dad!" Mavis replied annoyed.

"I was wrong Devil-Chops!" Drac replied with a shrug, and then passed her a postcard.

"Do you really mean it, Dad?" Mavis asked as she looked at the card.

"Go make your own paradise honey" Dracula answered as he put her hair back behind her ear.

Mavis looked over to me with a smile as we got closer.

"Re-trying that kiss again doesn't sound like such a bad idea huh?" I suggested to Mavis.

"Heh, I think it's a great idea" Mavis replied as we closed in for a kiss.

Drac obviously wasn't used to this yet because he went full demon on us for a second. He swiftly apologized. And left the room.

We finally locked our lips, and as we separated I remembered something.

"Oh yeah! I got you another 118th gift too!" I said excited as I grabbed the new board out from the travel bag and passed it to her.

"A skateboard! How do I use it again? OH I got something for you too, kinda ironic too" Mavis replied as she reached under her bed and pulled out my board! It was repaired and had a cute drawing of a bat on the deck.

"God, did I already say that I love you?" I asked her as we put the boards down.

"You could say it more" She replied with a smirk.

(AN: Just because the first film is over doesn't mean I'm done! You still have the extra bits and the other 3 films to enjoy, I'll try to add more of my own twist into them this time too, but lets just see what Y/n and Mavis get up to now ;) )
