At the Place des Vosges, Marinette was walking down the park with Franklin. She sees Alya sitting on a bench, she sees Marinette.

Alya: Hey, girl.

Marinette: Hey. *They both hugged. *

Alya: Come on. *They both sit down and Marinette holds the leash. * Listen, I think you should go with us to the Winter Ball tonight. *Marinette sighed and looked away for a second. *

Marinette: I don't know, Alya

Marinette: I don't know, Alya.

Alya: Why? Just because Adrien isn't going with you, doesn't mean you can't miss out on tonight's dance. This is a one-of-a-lifetime opportunity, people cannot miss this moment. There has to be someone who can go with you.

Marinette: I don't know. I might not go tonight.

Alya: Why not? Give me one good reason why you're not gonna go tonight.

Marinette: I have to babysit again.

Alya: Again? Didn't you babysit last night?

Marinette: Yeah. But since my parents are also gonna be catering the ball tonight, I told them I'm not going and I decided to babysit again tonight.

Alya: What? Marinette, you can't miss this dance tonight. Can you convince them to let you go?

Marinette: Nope, not happening.

Alya: (groans) Come on. What about Luka?

Marinette: What about him?

Alya: Marinette, in case you didn't notice, but Luka... likes you.

Marinette: What?

Alya: Let me rephrase that he "like-likes" you. Meaning: He loves you. *Marinette looked shocked. * Did you notice?

Marinette: To be honest... no. He's just a friend. *Alya facepalmed and sighed. *

Alya: Seriously

Alya: Seriously. Where is your head? Ever since you met Luka and have been hanging out for a while, he's head over heels for you. You were goo-goo eyeballing Adrien. Think it's time to "move the compass to a new statue?"
