After seeing Adrien asking Kagami to the Winter Ball, Marinette felt sad about him not asking her. It was sad and hard for Marinette because of what happened. But the best way is for to move on and maybe someone would kindly sweep her off her feet...
After the Akuma attack, the Winter Ball was still going on, Luka looked for Marinette, but he couldn't find her. He sees Rose and Juleka.
Luka: Hey, have you seen Marinette?
Rose: No. She was here earlier, but not anymore.
Luka: 'Weird'. *He keeps looking for her. He sees Alya and Nino dancing. * Hey. Have you guys seen Marinette?
Alya: Not really.
Nino: She probably hides from Princess Frost. She'll turn up soon. *Luka looked for her some more. When that didn't work, he got his phone out and tried calling her. Outside of the Hotel, Ladybug landed and with no one in sight, she de-transform and Tikki hovered next to her, she caught her. *
Marinette: I have no food for you, Tikki. We'll have to go inside and get something.
Tikki: Okay. *She hid in the clutch, and then her phone rang. She looked at it and it was Luka calling her. She answered. *
Marinette: (on the phone) Hello?
Luka: (through the phone) Where are you?
Marinette: (on the phone) I'm coming. *She hangs up the phone and she goes to the Hotel lobby. Inside, Luka looked at his phone and looked all over again. Then, he saw her by the door. *
Luka: There you are.
Marinette: I just took cover, no big deal.
Luka: 'No big deal? What's up with you?' Marinette... are you okay? *He slowly reached his hand out to her, but she kindly moved his hand back. *
Marinette: I'm fine. Think we should call it a day.
Luka: Okay. *They leave the Hotel and head to Marinette's house, he thinks about what he should do. Adrien saw them both leaving. *
Adrien: 'She's leaving? With him? What is going on? Better go after them.' Hey. I'm gonna get some air. I'll be right back.

Kagami: Okay. *Adrien heads to the double doors and heads outside, he gets Plagg. *
Adrien: Something's going on with Marinette.
