6 - Broke

As I got into our room, I was just finishing my crying.

"Elizabeth?" My mother called from the living room.

"Yes, it's me." Who else?

"Oh, I heard you got sick!" She said, as I walked in. I must have looked worse than I thought because she gasps, running up to me. "Honey, you should a take a warm bath, have you had any breakfast?" I shake my head and my stomach growls. "Poor thing, I'll fix you something, okay?" She smiles sweetly and hugs me.

A bath sounded pretty good, actually. But when I was about to enter my room, my sister jumped out, bombarding me with questions.

"How was it? Did they do anything bad? Were they inappropriate? Did you stay up all night? Did any of you--"

"Not in the mood, Mary. If you haven't noticed, I'm sick and I've cried out all the liquid in my body so I'm going to try to relax. Bye." I dropped my bag on the floor and slammed the door in her face, hoping the message'd get through.

Turning on the water, I started to strip off all of my clothes when I noticed my phone ringing. When I picked it up, the caller was disconnected. The screen read, "six missed calls from Leeyum". I knew why he was calling, but I didn't want to hear it. Which was weird, because hearing an apology would probably make my day a whole lot better, actually. But instead of letting myself indulge, I turned off my phone and grabbed some of my LUSH cosmetics as the tub was still in the process of being filled.

I took a Lavender Dreams bubblebar and crushed part of it up around the running water, which instantly made it bubblier, then got out some more nifty things. I set my Daddy-O and American Cream shampoo and conditioner down and looked around for a good bathbomb. Settling with a Think Pink, I put the rest away and waited a little bit longer.

When it was full with not too much and not too little hot water, I stopped it and started to lower myself in.

It was practically calling my name. Foamy, lavender scented bubbles, soothing warm water, and some of my music playing softly in the background. I let myself adjust to the water and then plopped in the Think Pink.

The little pink ball started fizzling and melting away, making the bathwater a bright pink and releasing skin-softening minerals. As I smiled to myself and sank down in lower, I heard a soft knocking at the door.

"Hmm?"

"It's me," my mom said, sounding nervous. "There's a man, Liam here to see you. You know, one of those band boys. He says it's urgent."

I wanted to tell her to kick him, but instead I said, "tell him to go away. I don't want to talk to him right now."

"Why?" She inquired.

"Because, I just don't." I sighed and kept my eyes closed, trying not to let the fight bother me.

"Do you have a crush on him?" She asks even more quietly.

"No mom! Just please tell him to go away!"

"Okay, okay. Sorry." I can almost see her putting her hands up in a surrendering sort of way as she walks to the door to Liam to back off.

Content with the thought of him going way, I sink in even lower, only to find out that the bomb is releasing the tiny paper hearts inside it now, too. As long as Liam didn't bother me for the next fifteen minutes, I might just enjoy myself!

Sure enough, my mom's back at the door. "Honey, he's getting very rough. He says he doesn't want to, but he'll come in here if he has to."

I knew he would, and as far as I knew, dad wasn't around. I knew if he pushed past my mom she'd just scoff and say, "why I never!" so I got up and wrapped a towel around myself. "Fine." As I stepped out of the bathroom, mom gasped. "I'll be right with him."
