I pulled on my two piece bikini and grabbed a big, sky blue towel. Seeing that I was in L.A. (and I was going swimming) there was really no need for a coat or anything extra, so I slipped on my sandals, got my bag that contained my phone and a few cosmetic things, took a quick look in the mirror, and stepped out of my hotel room. My family of five (mom, dad, two younger brothers, and my older sister) were out shopping and I was at the hotel alone, so I used my freedom to take a private soak in the cool swimming pool.

The corridor to the elevator smelled like carpet cleaner and something else I couldn't really name, just that hotel smell in general. I stared at the golden-yellow walls, decorated with tacky flower paintings and the fire-escape route maps. Once the walls grew boring enough, I began to concentrate on stepping directly in the light brown squares on the carpet, bordered by an ebony strip of carpet. It was kiddish, I know, but I did stuff like that often, I don't see it so bad to act like a kid, it makes you feel good, free.

Eventually, I got to the elevator and stopped with my little game. Checking my phone, I pressed the "down" button and waited for the doors to open. When they finally did, I stepped in and noticed that the button to the lobby was already pushed. Smiling, I took my place in the corner and put my phone back in my little bag.

While waiting, I heard the other people whispering to each other. How rude.

When I looked over, I noticed that the other passengers were five boys and all they were wearing were swimsuits! They froze and their eyes were wide, as if they were scared of something, probably just me seeing them like that (although that made no sense, seeing that they all had perfect bodies). I smiled at them and slouched back against the wall until I remembered that all I was wearing was a swimsuit too (and a towel). My face blossomed a bright red as my towel dropped and I looked down at the ground, praying they wouldn't notice.

When they gasped, I felt a little offended, did they honestly think my body would be that bad?

"Excuse me?" I asked, putting my hands on my (what I thought to be) perfectly fine hips.

The boys just stood there, shocked. A few of them were shaking their heads slowly with an amused expression plastered on their face.

Finally, one of them with brown hair sticking up everywhere managed to get out, "you honestly don't know us?" For a moment I'm stunned, he has a British accent!

"Don't know you?" I asked, confused. "Okay, whatever, no, umm...why are you surprised?" My eyes narrow coldly and I go into full-on sass mode. "What? Did you think my body would be bad? Are you really that surprised?"

"No, no, no!" Another with short brown hair answered quickly, he too had a British accent. His thick eyebrows were pointed, making his face looking completely symathetic and angelic, "it's just, how can you not recognize us?"

As if on cue, one with brown curly haired one pulls all five of them together in one big, swift hug. Now that they mentioned it, there was something familiar about them, but I just didn't know what. Maybe I'd seen them around the hotel or town.

I shake my head slowly, "what do you mean? Why would you be shocked that I didn't recognize you?"

"Oh my God!" The curly-haired one yells, also in an accent, "how can you not recognize us? Especially me!" He jabs his finger into his chest and his big green eyes grow wide in surprise and madness.

The one with the spiky brown colored hair pipes up, "you know, Harry, it's not entirely bad that she doesn't know. At least she won't act all...crazy." I can't help but smile, these boys have a way of growing on you in a short time.
