A Very Informal Explanation Of The AU

Please note that this explanation was written at around 12:30PM, therefore it is messy and not properly worded, I promise the rest of the fic is not as shit as this is. I urge you to ask me about anything you do not understand about the specific species I've assigned to each characters.

This is a SkepHalo fic in which BadBoyHalo is a giant who lives in a massive cave near the outskirts of a dwarf village where Skeppy lives. The whole village thinks the giant, Bad, is just a myth, so Skeppy decides to find out if the tales are true or not.

Bad's best friend Sapnap is a fireborne who always brings Bad food n' shit he needs to live ig.

The characters, other dwarves, in Skeppy's village that are actually mentioned are George, Phil, and Wilbur.

Phil is a half-breed, Avian-Dwarf, -Avians are bird people- but he lives in with the dwarves since the rest of the Avian race died out.

Dream, Tommy, and Eret are elves. Dream is the high elf, the leader, however he tends to buddy up with the lower class because all the high class citizens are kind of stupid. Elves can live for about 1800 years, maybe more if their lucky.

Sadly, no sleepy boys inc. in this because I really don't feel like making like half the characters part Avian-Dwarf.

Quackity is a Duckman-Dwarf half-breed who lives with the dwarves simply because I said so. Also he's extra small because lmao shortquack.

Fundy probably won't be mentioned much but he's a tri-breed of a Foxman, Fishman, and Dwarf. Nobody knows how the hell the fox part got in there, maybe the fish Wilbur railed was part fox, I don't fucking know, I'm not the author.

Schlatt is [was] a ramman. Yes, I know that sounds funky. He is [was] a humanoid with ram features.

Schlatt is dead.

Tubbo is a half-breed of a ramman and a human. you can see where the dadschlatt headcannon is coming in here, yes? He does not have a home, and wanders the land with his platonic husband, Ranboo. 

Nobody knows what Ranboo is, some think he might be an accursed mix of an elf, goblin, and human.

Sometimes Tubbo and Ranboo visit Tommy in the elven forest since they're kind of buddies.

Jack Manifold is a goblin. One of the very few left in existence, he's kind of buddies with everyone, and has even once spoken to our lovely giant, Bad, but has never told a soul, cus i dont feel like making this anymore complicated than it already is.

Techno is a pigman, no, not a minecraft pigman, you fucking moron. like, a humanoid with pig features. He is a loner who usually lurks near the elven woods. Also there is a small bit of goblin blood in his bloodline, so that explains his questionable tendencies. He also has a signifigantly longer lifespan than most pigmen, being that he is part goblin he could probably live to be around 400.

Giants are only rumoured to exist in this world, no one has actually seen one and lived to tell the tale. [Except Jack Manifold and Sapnap because I said so, bitch.]
I, as the writer, and you, as the reader, are omniscient, so we know that there actually is a giant, even if he is the only one left. All giants have the ability to shift forms, going from being tall human size to absolutely fucking massive. (Tallest giant ever recorded was like 56 yards. Yeah he was kinda a fucking hellspawn but yknow how it is, this is a fantasy book. Nobody fucking cares.) Yeah also giants usually live to around 4000.

When characters are humanoids with animal features they are referred to as [Animal]man, regardless of gender/sex.

Quackity; Duckman

In the prologue, Bad is about 30-something. So- Still very young for a giant.

There are many different types of dwarves, all referred to differently. They have a designation, [........] dwarf, and a title, [........]-ite.
Sort of like how you'd say 'someone from America' and 'American' I guess???

Crystal dwarf/Crystalite [Cris-Tall-Iyte] - Multiple gemstones are imbedded in a Crystalite's flesh which emit a soft glow. Usually only one kind, but there are a few with more than one. They have long, thin tails with tall, sharp spines lining them, the spines are gems. Their ancestors were miners who constantly spent time around gems and in caves. Crystalite's are bold, excitable, and brave.

Iron dwarf/Metallicite [Met-Al-Ih-Kite] - When threatened a Metallicite's eyes will gloss over with a shining sliver hue, a way to show that they have activated their "bio-defense mechanism." This mechanism is the hardening of their flesh, making almost impossible to pierce it. Metallicite's are the decedents of dwarf warriors. They are calm, decisive, and intelligent.

Flora dwarf/Floraltite [Floor-All-Tight] - A trail of specific flowers appears in their path when they walk, only when they are in an especially good mood though, the flowers will disappear after about three hours. Floraltite's are incredible gardeners, just like their ancestors. They sometimes are mistaken for short elves due to their slightly pointy ears. Each Floraltite has a unique scent that corresponds with the scent of the flowers they leave in their path. Their representative flower. They are soft-spoken, gentle, and empathic.

Flora dwarf, iron dwarf, and crystal dwarf should not be capitalized; but Floraltite, Metallicite, and Crystalite should.

There are also plain old regular dwarves who have nothing unique about them, but no one here is one of those lol because who the fuck wants a boring ol' character amirite amirite.

and before you go asking, "wtf are you doing Dande wtf does this mean???" yes, George, despite being a Floraltite, is a celebrated dwarven war hero who is fancied by the High Elf. I wanted to make him be a sweet and sort of precious looking type of character, but i didn't want to seem like he was super fucking weak so i added a little bit of spice.
