Ink's POV

I waited for Tisha at the front of the school. It was lunch period so we were going to the café again. Through the group of students, I saw a tall human running towards me. When she got to me, she stopped to catch her breath.

Tisha: Sorry I'm late. I was talking with Matthew.

Me: Matthew, as in Matthew Parker?

She nodded with a wide grin.

Me: How'd it go?

Tisha: He invited you and I to his party tonight.

Me: Me? Really?

Tisha confirmed my question by nodding again. However, I remembered that I had a curfew.

Me: I... I don't know. I have to be home by nine because the rules back at home.

Tisha: Come on, Ink. Your guardian doesn't have to know.

I thought about it for a second. Eventually, I quietly sighed.

Me: Okay.

Tisha fist bumped the air out of satisfaction from my answer. We began to head to the café.

I watched the surroundings as we walked down the street. The weather was extremely nice. No clouds in the sky and the sun warmly kissed my cheeks. Cars drove past to get to their destination and people walked by in a hurry. Trees were beginning to change color as fall drew closer.

The bell of the café rang when we opened the door. Tisha and I sat down at our table to order lunch.

Tisha: I need help with literature homework. I don't understand with the story "Peculiar Children".

Me: Okay um, let me get out my book. I remember that we were supposed to read the prologue and chapter one.

I leaned down and grabbed my backpack. Unzipping the pouch, I pulled out a book. I sipped on my dragonfruit smoothie as I flipped the pages.

We spent the rest of the lunch period reading the book and answering reflection questions.

When it came to our studies, I had always been better with subjects such as art and literature. However, I wasn't good at math and science but Tisha was amazing at it. But both of us were terrible at history.

(Time Skip)

I stood in front of the house where Matthew's party was being held. Inside was completely lit up with colors and was blasting music. People were dancing and drinking heavily.

I fiddled with my brown scarf as my nervousness grew. It was close to nine which was almost the end of my curfew.

A yell came from the front of the house and I saw Tisha waving at me. She was holding a red solo cup.

Tisha: Gurl, you made it!

She hugged me, my face being buried into her boobs. She grabbed my hand and dragged me into the house. People danced and laughed. My friend led me to the center of the room.

After a few minutes of getting used to the dancing, I started moving myself. There was also a bit of drinking.

However in the back of my mind, I felt guilty for not obeying Error's curfew. Then again, he probably doesn't even care that I'm gone.

Tisha poured a glass of beer and handed it to me. I put my lips to the edge of the cup and took a sip. I eventually downed the entire thing. The feeling of alcohol hit me instantly. At that moment, the alcohol felt amazing.

We danced to the music and laughed as Tisha and I bumped into each other.

(Time Skip)

Tisha and I sat on a curb near an ice cream parlor. I had no idea what time it was but that wasn't the problem.

I held my head as I suffered in pain. Tisha rubbed my back while sipping from a vanilla milkshake.

Tisha: How are you feeling?

Me: My head is pounding and I feel like vomiting.

Tisha: Do you regret going to the party?

Me: Yes and no.

  My friend laughed.

Me: What?

Tisha: You're such a lightweight, Ink. We need to get you used to drinking.

I leaned back onto the concrete into a laying position and covered my face with my hands.

It honestly felt like the tipsy feeling was getting worse.

Me: We're not even old enough to drink.

My hand went to my pocket and pulled out my phone. Turning it on, I checked the time. I sat up when I realized that it was three in the morning.

Me: Shit. I need to get going.

I swayed when I stood up but I was eventually able to find balance. Tisha helped me into her car. I may have only been tipsy but she didn't trust me to be alone.

The car trip was shorter than normal. Tisha parked in front of Error's house. Stepping out of the car, I waved at Tisha before walking to the door. I used a key to quietly open it. I tried to close it as carefully as possible so I wouldn't make any noise.

As soon as I locked the door, I heard a voice. It was deep and calm. However, it was too calm that it was disturbing. I instantly knew that it was the voice of Error.

Error: Ink...
