Ink's POV
I packed my school supplies and went to the kitchen to get something for breakfast. Today was the second to last day that I had to work on my project. Luckily, Error had helped me throughout the entire thing.
I grabbed the loaf of bread after placing my backpack next to the island. I slid two slices of bread into the slots of the toaster as it was the quickest thing to make.
Leaning against the counter, I waited for my bread to get done toasting. I waited in silence as the house was extremely quiet.
My eyes traveled around the kitchen and living room but they stopped when they noticed the couch. Error was asleep on the couch with Mello curled in a ball on his chest.
I walked over to the couch and kneeled next to them. They peacefully slept however, I had to wake Error so he could drive me to school. This was one of the times that I wished I had a license.
I lightly poked my guardian's arm, causing him to slowly open his eyes. Error looked at me and I instantly felt bad that I ruined his peace.
Me: I'm sorry that I woke you up but I can't drive.
Error: It's alright. Finish getting ready and I'll take you.
He softly pet Mello's ear.
Error: Sorry baby but I have to get up.
The grey cat lifted her head, stretched and jumped off his chest.
Soon after, the toaster clicked and freshly cooked toast popped out. I went back to kitchen and grabbed the butter. I coated both slices and took a bite out of one. I looked at the other slice before deciding something.
Walking into the living room, I caught the attention of Error. I offered my second piece of toast to him. He hesitated before gently taking it.
Error: Thank you.
Error tiredly said while taking a small bite.

Error pulled up to my school. He unlocked the doors.
Error: Have a good day.
Me: I'll try.
I walked to the entrance of the school. I found Tisha standing next to her locker, texting on her phone.
Me: Morning Tisha.
She looked up and instantly smiled.
Tisha: Morning Ink!
I walked to my first class, my friend following behind me. Suddenly, she rested her arm on my shoulder with a sly grin.
Tisha: So... you and your guardian~
The conversation that I had with Error yesterday went through my mind, making me remember that he carried me to bed. I stopped thinking about it and released an annoyed sigh.
Me: I've already established that there is nothing happening between me and my guardian.
Tisha: Oh really? Then why are you blushing?
My eyes widened and I become speechless. I realized that I was blushing, which me blush more. Tisha laughed as I turned my face away.
Tisha: Why are you so flustered? I thought there was "nothing happening" between you and him.
She mocked me with a joking tone in her voice. I groaned and walked ahead.
(Time Skip)
Tisha parked in front of my home. I grabbed my backpack and slid out of the passenger seat.
Tisha: Let me know when you and him kiss~
Me: I hate you~
We laughed at each other. I waved as she drove off.
When she was gone, the smile on my face relaxed to a neutral expression. I inserted the keys into the door before unlocking it.
I entered the house and found Error sitting on the couch, who seemed to be reading. I could also hear faint humming. He looked up and smiled.
Me: Well you're in a happy mood.
Error: I just woke up from a nap.
I nodded while taking out my computer and history notes.
Me: What are you reading?
Error: I'm reading the history of Africa. There's still a lot that I need to learn about it.
There was a small session of silence between us.
Me: By the way, I finished my project.
Error: Do you want to practice presenting it?
Me: Doesn't hurt if I do.
Minutes had passed by, I was standing at the front of the living room with my audience being Error and Mello. I was fine presenting in front of them but I started thinking about the real presentation that was tomorrow.
I felt myself starting to shake and my eyes began to tear up. I stuttered, not being able to find the right words. Error noticed and walked over to me. He gently grabbed the sides of my shoulders. There was soft expression on his face.
Error: What's wrong?
Me: I don't know if I can do this.
I said through tears.
Error: Hey, Ink, don't think like that. You'll do great.
Me: You think so?
Error: Of course.
He smiled while wiping my cheeks with his thumb. I smiled from the confidence that he came me.
Error: ...
There's your smile
