Ink's POV

I stared at the ceiling of the bedroom, thinking about last night. I had received a text from Error telling me that I would be alone for dinner. He then came home around ten and he never told me what happened that caused him to be out late.

I turned my gaze to look at Error, who was sleeping deeply. It looked like he was completely wiped out from last night. Mello was curled in a ball against his chest and was lightly purring. Her tail was slowly swishing around but she still slept undisturbed.

'I should let them sleep.'

Carefully getting out of bed, I picked up my phone and walked out into the hallway. I needed to get dressed but all of my clothes were in my bedroom. Even though I've started sleeping with Error, I still used my old one half the time but mostly for drawing and having privacy when I wanted it.

Looking through my closet, I scanned my collection of clothing and put together an outfit in my mind. I had planned to go out with Tisha today. We were going to go shopping, go the spa, and then we were going to have a sleepover at my place. Tisha liked my place more since she didn't have deal with her siblings and I had a rich boyfriend.

After putting on a clean pair of clothes, I left for the kitchen. Breakfast was leftovers from the night before since I had baked pancakes for myself and a tiny one for Mello. I started a new pot of coffee and warmed up the pancakes in the microwave. Once everything was ready, I sat at the island and opened the laptop that was left on the counter.

When I finished high school, I had promised myself that I would start being more responsible around the house and with pursuing a career. I was proud of myself for getting a paid internship with Error's company but I still had to apply for college. I was an adult, it was time I started acting like one.

As I ate, I heard a soft ring of a bell coming from the hallway. I looked up from the laptop and saw Mello walking along the dark hardwood floor. She stretched, yawned, and continued walking into the kitchen. She found her water bowl that was positioned just next to the island on the floor and began drinking with not a care in the world.

I scrolled through the information on the university website. It had several lists of classes that I could attend and there were even clubs that were ran by students. I wrote down the classes that I was interested in, with art as a major but I wasn't quite sure about my minor.

My phone rang with the sound of a notification. I turned on the screen and saw that I had a gotten a text from Tisha. She had said that she had just entered the neighborhood that I lived in, leading me to turn off the laptop and walk to the side closet that was next to the front door to get my shoes.

After a few minutes, I opened the door just when Tisha was going to knock.

Tisha: Hey. Ready?

Me: Yup. So what do you want to do first?

Tisha: Shopping obviously.

(Time Skip)

Tisha and I walked through an isle that was stocked with health and wellness products. We were at Target, being both of our favorite store.

My human friend browsed through different skincare products while I looked through the very limited section for my specific race. Health research for monsters was only a recent thing so there wasn't much for us, even less for skeletons. However it seemed that more and more things were being released for us.

I picked up a formula for bone strength and clearness and walked to join Tisha's side. Her hands were full of products which made me regret not grabbing a basket on the way in.

After an hour at Target, we went back to the car and drove to the spa.

The spa was quiet when we walked in and the room was calming to look at. The floor was a white marble-like tile and the walls had paintings of plants and floral designs. Pink plush couches were set to the sides of the room and each one had an accompanying glass coffee table.

People were sitting in the couches, reading the newest magazines as they waited for their appointment. Luckily we had a reservation so we wouldn't have to wait.

The spa was the best thing that we had done in a while. Tisha was given a mani-pedi and I was taken to a different room to get my joints popped. Then both of us were allowed to use a jacuzzi in bathing suits. Everything was so relaxing.

As we sat in the steamy hot water, we shared conversation.

Tisha: How was your first day at the internship?

Me: There wasn't much to do. My supervisor, Damien, had me look through some photos and then he sent me home since he had nothing else for me.

Tisha: Who's Damien again?

Me: The big ass green werewolf.

She nodded and hummed, remembering who he was. They've met once when she was over at my place and Damien had stopped by to give something to Error for work.

Our timer started ringing, telling us that we had to get out. We dried ourselves, changed clothes, and then left the spa. I wished that it would have gone on longer but it was too good to be true. Now we were heading back to my place to...

Have a sleepover
