TIMELINE: Modern AU, swimming trainer Ling AU

INSPIRATION: Wanwan can't swim so of course we have Ling to teach her that 😌 Buckle up folks, this is a 5k word oneshot and the longest you'll probably ever read in this book.

WARNING: Rated T for mild sexual tension, language, and Ling's perverted thoughts.

It was an understatement to say Wanwan didn't like to swim. No- it was more like, she didn't like being surrounded by water or be in a pool. The feeling was difficult to explain. One could even compare it to a stubborn kitten refusing to be bathed.

When she was younger, the marksman absolutely hated the water, loathed it, and despised it with her entire being. However, it was different from taking her daily baths, for it only wetted her body slightly so that she could stay clean and hygienic.

Now that she was older though, she was able to tolerate the idea of swimming but not so much to be able to comfortably dip herself in large bodies of water or swim anywhere where her feet cannot feel the steady ground.

It definitely wasn't easy to have a sort of fear towards swimming or water in general. For one, it was embarrassing to admit. Wanwan had some people laugh to her face for it over the years, leaving some small trauma. So today, it wasn't hard to guess what she was feeling when Zilong suddenly announced his impromptu plan to take her to Southern Seas water park for some free swimming lessons.

Lately, the fighter had been insisting and begging that she come with them to vacation next month on a beach, implying she should learn how to swim as soon as possible.

In her current group of friends, Wanwan never told anyone of her fears. If people questioned the way she acted during swimming pool parties or beach get-togethers, she would bluff, only saying that the reason why she won't go swimming is because she didn't know how to. Well, she really doesn't know how to but that wasn't the only reason.

Her friend Zilong, the ever-so-kind one, "went through so much hardships just to persuade one of my close friends to give you free swimming lessons", she quotes. This made it even harder to decline so she relented in the end, much to her dismay.

And this was why she ended up awkwardly standing under the large arch of the colorful entrance of the Southern Seas waterpark, covered in numerous layers of towels, a large scarf around her shoulders, a huge sunhat and had extremely large sunglasses on with Selena at her side. They were already at the water park after a 30-minute drive. Zilong went to drop off Chang'e in the kids swimming pool to play with Harith and Lylia.

One would never believe how very friendly the guy was. Because of his connections with the owner of the waterpark, Kadita who one of his supposedly very many "good friends", they were able to buy tickets with a 30 percent discount.

"Loosen up a bit~" Selena nudged her, grinning at her shy and reserved movements. "It's the water park after all, not some funeral."

Selena came with them, per request of Wanwan. The mage was clad in an extremely revealing bikini the color of cotton candy, cleavage in full display. The bikini showed of her perfectly sculpted body, a result from her friend's constant work-out and dancing. She looked extremely stunning, with how her white hair that tinted with a little bit of light pink, was tied up in a high ponytail. Wanwan tried to ignore the plenty of boys staring at her friend while Selena seemed like she thrived in the attention they were giving her.

"Let's wait for Zilong over there." Wanwan mumbled, shyly pointing at two folding chairs already set up. The singular umbrella was big enough to block the sun's shade for two.
