[10] Will you? [10]

"After you," Karl spoke with a fake posh accent, making Y/N laugh as she stepped out the carriage onto the gravelly floor.
"Thank you kind sir," She copied the fake accent, embedded with the short laugh from before.

The two found a carriage waiting for them at the exit of the woods as they arrived back, sent by Dream himself. The driver said it was to make sure the two was safe in their arrival back, and they both thanked the female before boarding the vehicle.

Karl followed after her and the silver carriage drove away without another look, the horses at the front clicked their hooves down the concrete as they made their way to the front door.
"Why does Dream need me here so early again?" Y/N asked, for the third time in the span of an hour.

"I can't tell you, Y/N. How many times do I have to say that" He spoke but with a smile, 
"Every single time until you tell me." She replied smugly, the guards opening the front door for them.

Puffy stood near the entrance, cleaning around before seeing the two walk through, nodding at the guards as a thank you. Karl and Puffy caught each others eyes, Puffy nodded and he smiled. "I need to go, you stay here"

"What?-" Y/N spoke confused, him doing a wave before exiting the room. "Karl?"

"Y/N" The women called the girls name, her immediately smiling as she saw her.
"Puffy!"

"How was the trip?" The maid did small talk, 
"It was great, I got the last of my things."

"Couldn't you of got that yesterday?" She spoke with a laugh,
"I- uh. I forgot yesterday," Y/N lied, putting a hand at the back of her neck as Puffy nodded.

"Anyway. Dream would like to see you in the courtyard for dinner"
"Dinner? Don't we have that in the dining room?" Y/N questioned,

"He wants to make it special with the last dinner you guys would have together for a few days. Well, that's what he reasoned with" Puffy spoke fast, 

"Alright. So, right now?" The maid nodded at the Princess' question. And Y/N headed over to the garden

As she got out into the courtyard, she didn't see Dream or anything there. Going down the rows and being confused for the next couples of minutes before seeing the little clearing in the stone walls that led to the waterfall.
The girl walked down the winding path, looking at the flowers that made her smile.

That's when she saw him, sat at a metal table with chairs. Picking at his nails like he is anxious because of something. The food was already laid of on the table as she casually walked over. "Can I sit?"

It seemed to scare him, his head shooting to where her voice was. "I didn't hear you, of course you can" Dream said, voice shaky at the start but he seemed to play it off, hiding his hands under the table and onto his lap.

Y/N eyed him suspiciously, sitting in the chair opposite him. "Are you ok?" She asked with sincerity.
"Yeah! I'm doing great, spectacular even" Dream rushed,

"Are you sure.? You seem startled" She laughed slightly at how jumpy he is,
"Yep. Perfectly fine," He forcefully smiled, Y/N didn't buy it; but didn't force him to say.

"Great. Are Sapnap and George joining us?" She changed the topic for his sake, who shook his head and let out a small silent exhale.
"They need to attend to things with their parents, so it's just us tonight." Dream's forceful smile turned genuine, 

"Thank god. George can't steal my dessert this time" Y/N said proudly, like she won a challenge. "Suck it, George" Dream wheezed at her, making her laugh herself.

The dinner was amazing, the food was fresh and they had a great time. Talking and just being together. He talked about the things he has been doing and how tiring the stupid work is, and Y/N spoke about what she did at the Philza household, having to make up lies to fill in from yesterday. The whole time no silence was between them, the two just talking for ages and laughing at the stupid things that happens.

But then there was silence. As Y/N examines his thinking face, well, overthinking face. "What's on your mind? You seem to be overthinking."

Dream seems to stop, "How do you know that I'm overthinking?"
"Your facial expressions dimwit. What's got you soo confused about?" Y/N acted like it was obvious, making the boy in front of her stumble.

"I- um."
"If you didn't want to say, don't" Y/N quickly added, the last thing she wanted was for him to feel forced to tell her everything.

"No, it's fine. I just wanted to ask you something" No eye contact was shown when he was talking.
"Is it serious?" She asked, him wavering between nodding and shaking his head. 
"It is. Kind of,"

"Alright. What is it?"
The tension grew and grew until it was suffocating. Only the birds that were staring at them chirps were all they could really hear. Y/N grew slightly uneasy.

"I don't-" He took a breath, "I don't really know how to say it. Never said it before in my life before,"
"Take your time" 

Dream cleared his throat, "Remember when we talked about you bringing in one of your friends for the masquerade?" He looked at her while talking, she nodded.

"That was the day I realised I fell in love with you." He saw the way her eyes widened for a split second before going back to normal. Listening. 
"And when I figured that out I felt like I couldn't, that you want the normal life and I couldn't strip you from that. And that you probably didn't like me, like that, back,"

The sounds of nature kind of wafted around them, filling in the dull silences of just their breaths.

"And when you, uh, when you left" Dream stuttered, getting more fidgety, Looking at the surrounding nature before joining her eyes in the middle. "That's when I realised that, even if it sounds a little toxic, which isn't my intention by the way- but. I wanted you for myself-"

That's when he seemed to panic "That sounded bad- i'm sorry- I should be quiet." And she reassured him that she knew what he was talking about, making Dream more at ease. And he carried on after her persuading. He left her on a cliff hanger like a story, she needed him to finish so it didn't eat her up from the inside.

"And it happened to happen when you, um, left for Snowchester? That's what you called the place, right?" Y/N nodded, and he continued. "When you came back, I wanted you more then ever"

"And now I have you, with me."

"And I don't want to loose you"

Her heart turned. The uneasiness faded,

"Princess Y/N of Relzic, will you be my girlfriend?"

Dream looked nervous, like the girl who said she loved him every day would say no to this.
"Yes! Oh my god, of course I will."

They both smiled at each other, basking in the moment.

idk what's wrong with me and not liking my work rn, but yet again, i feel like the way he asked is more like how you would propose to someone
and idk if its just me, but I don't think you would ask someone out but like you are proposing to them.

but we can just play it off like it is his character since he doesn't really do relationships like this ;)

fun fact: i made the first quarter in a lesson, where my teacher caught me and read it. said that i shouldn't be doing this and told me to 'get off that website'.
so, i'm sorry miss that I want to write cool stories instead of learning about plastic and the world and how to present ideas to change the planet and 'stop global warming'.

another fun fact: next part will be posted very soon, since it is complete from me procrastinating and wanting to do it for a while. so be on the look out :)))
