I interrupted him with a passionate kiss on the lips. One of the maids walked in and we broke apart, both blushing. The maid quickly turned and walked out. As soon as the door closed, we broke out into hysterical laughter.

Betty's Pov
J: "The look on her face was hilarious oh my gosh maybe we should do that more often." He said, not even thinking about the words that had just come out of his mouth.
I sat there with a shocked expression plastered on my face. Did he really just say that we should do that more often?? Like I'm down but what the heck.
I pushed all of those thoughts aside and immediately went in for another kiss. A few seconds later my phone started ringing so I broke the kiss off.

My phone read "Los Angeles Tattoo Shop." I wasn't sure why they would be calling me. I showed the phone to Jughead and he raised his eyebrow.
I answered the call and a husky voiced man answered the phone.
"Hey is this Betty?" The man asked.
"Uh yes?" I replied
"I've got a shoe of yours in my shop from last night. I'm assuming you want it?" He asked in a monotone voice.
"Sure yea... where are you located?"
The man said the address and I wrote it down."
"Alright we'll be there soon. Thanks so much!" I ended the call.

"Well at least now we know that I lost my shoe at a tattoo parlor." I said and laughed.
"Yeah. And honestly I don't think we really need to try and figure out all the details about last night. I mean it's over with now and we're both still alive, so I think we should save our confusion and go on with our lives." He said slightly laughing. The real reason he didn't want to "figure everything out" was because he knew things that I didn't know. Honestly it might be better to forget about it.
"Yeah I guess you're right." I admitted. "But I still need to get my shoe from that tattoo parlor." I continued.
"Yeah yeah I know." Jughead replied chuckling.

Time skip - at the tattoo parlor

Jughead Pov
I walked in the tattoo place with Betty and she asked about her shoe. As she was talking to the man she talked to on the phone earlier, I looked around the place and I was reminded of last night again.

Flashback
——————
I walked with Betty in the parlor, but it was surprisingly busy for as late as it was. Betty talked to the man at the counter and I walked to sit down. Moments later she joins me and tells me that it's a 30 minute wait. A few people had cleared out since we had gotten there, but it was still relatively busy.

Betty laughed and whispered "I have something important to show you. Come here."
She got up and started walking somewhere. I blissfully followed.
She walked into the bathroom and locked the door behind you.
"Uh B-" I started but was abruptly interrupted by Betty's lips on mine.

Flashback over
——————

I saw Betty getting her shoe from the man. She smiled back at me and said that we could leave. I was still stunned from what I had just remembered, so it took me a second to adjust back to reality. I followed her out of the tattoo parlor and went back to the car.

Authors note:
Apologizes for such a short chapter and for the many months of absence. I wasn't entirely sure if I wanted to continue the book - I'm honestly still deciding. Here is the short chapter I quickly wrote, but I will definitely have a chapter proceeding this one. There has been a lot of interest expressed in my continuation of the book so I'll at least write a few more chapters in case I do choose to end the book, it won't be left at a cliffhanger.
Thanks for reading!!
