Chapter 3

After that incident on the playground and at the party, this was the first day of school. Soobin was relaxed because he knew ignoring him was the last thing Yeonjun would ever do. Selfish? Well he agrees he is. He had always been.

Since they became friends, he had this aura around himself because of his other students of their class were not comfortable to act friendly around Yeonjun. It was always their group of five friends which includes Him, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huenning Kai with whom Yeonjun interacted.

Currently Soobin was seating at the cafeteria with Taehyun and Hyuka. He was waiting for Yeonjun to join them. Yeonjun and him had the same schedule except the additional class which Yeonjun opted for extra marks whereas he saw it as an extra headache. So, every morning Yeonjun joined them a little late after his extra class.

Just then the three of them saw Beomgyu coming towards them alone. Where was Yeonjun? was the first thought to invade Soobin's mind. Beomgyu had a cheerful smile on his face as always and when Beomgyu says he is the mood-maker of their group he is certainly not lying.

"Hello guys did you already ordered food?" Beomgyu asked settling in the seat beside Hyuka."No, we were waiting for you and Yeonjun hyung" Taehyun replied while chugging water from his bottle."Well we should order then because Yeonjun hyung won't come today"Beomgyu said while standing up to walk towards the cafeteria lady.

"Why wouldn't he come?" Soobin asked, hoping to not hear ' because he wants to stay away from you' from Beomgyu. "He said his friend is coming to Seoul and he went to help him in settling down" Beomgyu replied. Soobin raised his eyebrows in confusion as who was this friend of Yeonjun about whom he didn't knew.

It would not be wrong to say that Yeonjun was always like an open book to Soobin. They had no secrets well one to be particular and that changed the entire situation between them. Four of them were having sandwiches and drinks when Soobin's phone beeped.

He opened his phone and saw Yeonjun posted on IG. It was a picture of him with a boy of their age with a caption 'Met my buddy after a long time'. The boy had his hands on Yeonjun's shoulder and upon seeing it, Soobin had a frustrated frown on his face which didn't go unnoticed by the three of them sitting across him.

Hyuka spoke up breaking the silence "I know about this friend". "How do you know though? "Taehyun asked taking a bite from his sandwich. "Last month when I went to Yeonjun hyung's house I saw a picture of him and this boy in hyung's middle school magazine "Hyuka said picking some french fries from his plate.

Right now it looked like everyone knew about Yeonjun more than Soobin when he thought Yeonjun and him were best friends?. Three of the friends except Soobin chatted about random things and after about half an hour Taehyun and Hyuka went to their class and it was Beomgyu and Soobin seating alone at the table.

"I think you already know everything judging by the looks you are throwing my way" Soobin said looking at Beomgyu. "I don't see a reason to lie, so yeah I know" Beomgyu said looking back at Soobin. "So will he ignore me from now on?" Soobin asked.

"I don't think it's my place to talk about Yeonjun hyung, it's his life. I can say that he really wants our group to be same he don't want things to become complicated because of him and also his old friend is in town maybe he should get a change " Beomgyu replied looking at Soobin whose eyes had various unsaid emotions.

"I can't stand him ignoring me like this" Soobin said while packing his backpack. He left without waiting for an answer from Beomgyu. Beomgyu saw Soobin walking out of the cafeteria. Beomgyu sighed and said "When will he realize he likes Yeonjun hyung?".
