Mrs Choi and Yeonjun arrived after a long drive. Yeonjun got down first and opened the car's door of his mother's side .Both of them entered the Choi Mansion and Yeonjun was getting tensed as he wanted to avoid the certain boy named Soobin at any cost after the incident at school's playground last Friday.
He did not have any intention to remember the day but still his mind would wander around the situation every now and then. Just as he was starting to get drowned in his thoughts he was back hugged by his best friend Beomgyu. " So you are really here, thank you so much for coming " Beomgyu said displaying his beautiful smile and Yeonjun patted his shoulder in response.
" Yeonjun why don't you go and greet Soobin, he is looking at you, what's with you not meeting your best friend. Did you two fight ?" Mrs Choi asked and Yeonjun's heart dropped. Yes, Soobin and him used to be best of friends but everything changed that day but he was not going to share the series of event with his mother for sure.
"Eomma everything is fine between us, Beomgyu and me will go and join the three of them " Yeonjun said while holding Beomgyu's hand who had the look of disappointment on his face. Beomgyu was feeling very bad about Yeonjun faking things in front of his mother but he also knew Yeonjun didn't have any other option. So he played around the lie and smiled.
As soon as they were out of his mother's sight Yeonjun's eyes got teary, he had been holding them back for a long time now and finally gave in. " Hyung please don't cry, you didn't do anything wrong so please stop crying " Beomgyu said giving a tight hug to Yeonjun.
" Hello guys " Hyuka said while coming towards them along with Taehyun and Soobin. The rest of the friend group did not know the situation except Beomgyu. Soobin looked at Yeonjun but was surprised when he saw Yeonjun was looking anywhere but him.
Wasn't this what he expected anyway? Maybe not.
Taehyun and Hyuka tagged Beomgyu along with them to play some games at the corner of the room and Beomgyu guessed it to be Truth and Dare. " You are looking nice " Soobin said while leaning in to give a side hug to Yeonjun but Yeonjun moved aside. Yeonjun didn't reply to Soobin's compliment.
" Oh so you are planning to ignore me huh?" Soobin asked with his jaw clenched. " See Soobin I am doing what's good for us, it's better this way and I don't have any hard feelings for you " Yeonjun said grabbing a glass of orange juice from the waiter passing by them. " So you want to break our friendship because I rejected you? " Soobin asked and Yeonjun didn't have anything to say to that.
Because Yeonjun was very angry with himself for expecting a Yes, on the day he confessed his feelings to Soobin at the playground.
"Yes I want to end things on a good note and all the best for your future" Yeonjun said and walked towards the trio as Hyuka was calling him to join them. Soobin smirked as he saw Yeonjun leaving from there and said " You love me too much to ignore me Choi Yeonjun."
Soobin failed to see the sadness in Yeonjun' eyes and his determination when he said those words.
