Today was the first day of school...and i was Terrified! I quickly hopped out of bed and started getting dressed. No matter how much I wanted to stay in bed I could NOT be late, especially on my first day!
After changing i went downstairs almost tripping down because i was going so fast. "Mom, what's for breakfast?" i shouted
My mom called from her room "Make something yourself!"
Ugh the one thing about my mom is if she doesn't want to cook you cook. "Well whatever?" I said aloud I chose to have a banana and toast...I know I know I just told you cereal is the best but I wanted to start the day strong.
I grabbed my school bag that I had packed the day before and headed outside. It was a sunny day with a cool breeze that played with my hair and the leaves on the trees. Now I can get used to this, I sighed. It was April and apparently April brings showers (from what i've heard). I sat on one of our benches on the front lawn waiting for the school bus. I loved my yard and everything about its screamed life and happiness! The backyard was my favorite place to be.There is a big oak tree where I like to read and draw. I'm decent at drawing. My dad taught me most of what I know. He planned on opening an art store filled with his art, but he just hadn't gotten around to it. I get it he has a lot of stuff to do between moving and his work.
HONK! HONK! I practically jumped out of my seat. Why was it so loud? I ran inside and yelled "Bus is here Carlos!" I could hear him thumping up the stairs before I saw him. He almost ran me over when he sprinted out the door. All he managed to say was a quick
"Sorry"
Carlos was trying out for the track team. Meaning he races other runners. That suits him. Instead of running into me he can run into other players. Carlos had been wanting to do track for a loooong time constantly mental checklist. I snapped out of my daze and ran to the school bus. Just in time I thought, because the bus's doors closed.
