Chapter 39: Watch Your Back

*Alyssa POV*

"I've missed just getting to hang out. I feel like one of us is always busy." Chanyeol said, opening the car door for me. 

"Me too. I'm excited to see what you have planned for us." I smiled and sat in his car.

"Nothing super big, I just want to spend time with you."

We drove for a while before he pulled into a parking lot next to a coffee shop.

"This looks cute!" I said as he helped me out of the car.

"One of the best coffee places around." He said as he held the door open for me.

"Chan!" A female voice exclaimed. She walked over to us and hugged him, not even acknowledging me.

"Alyssa, this is my sister, Yoo-ra. Yoo-ra, this is my girlfriend, Alyssa." Chanyeol introduced. She smiled at me, but it wasn't a friendly smile. We all sat down at a table and waited for a waitress to take our order.

"Yoo-ra works here and I wanted you two to meet. She was on break so I figured now would be a good time." He said as the waitress walked away.

"So Chan, you remember Tiffany, right?" She said, still ignoring me.

"Not this again, you already know my answer." He said.

She huffed and glared in my direction for a split second. As if it were planned, Chan's phone started ringing and he had to take it. So Yoo-ra and I were left alone.

"Listen Alicia, or whatever your name is. Don't even think about hurting my brother, or you will regret it. I promise that I will-." I cut her off.

"Number one, why are you attacking me? You could have started this conversation civilly, losing your temper and threatening makes you look like the bad guy. Number two, I know about his past relationships and what he is afraid of. I would never hurt. So if that is why you have been glaring at me, you can stop." I said, keeping my cool.

She stared at me in disbelief, not knowing what to say. The waitress brought our order, making the tension ease. 

"I'm sorry." She said, looking down.

"I'm not mad, I like that you care so much about him. I'm glad he wanted to meet, I think that we'll be good friends . So let's just start over. Hi, I'm Alyssa, your brothers girlfriend." I held out my hand for her to shake. She smiled and shook my hand. Chan walked back in and sat down, ready to eat.

"Did something happen while I was gone? Something seems different." He said.

"I like this one, good job." Yoo-ra smiled and winked at me.

Alyssa had text that she was going out with Chanyeol and Grace text that she and Wonho were watching a movie at our dorm. Taemin is out of town for a family thing, so I am alone for the day. I decided to go to the library to study for a few of my classes, and to enjoy being alone for a bit. A few people sat at the table around me, but I wasn't paying attention to them.
