Chapter 42: It Gets Harder Everyday

*Yoongi POV*

"And you're just now calling to tell us?!" Morgan exclaimed.

"You were in class. I didn't want to stress you out more."

"When it comes to my sisters life, you call Alyssa or me right away." Her tone was dark and serious. I do see her point. It seems like those two are the only family she has.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have snapped at you. Where are you guys? I'll be right there."

"We're still at your dorm, Jin should be just about done. Jimin is calling Alyssa to let her know. Walk back here with someone, or wait there and I'll come get you."

"Well, everyone I know has already left. Taemin got called in to cover a shift."

"I'll be right over. What building are you in?"

"Main building, room C4."

"Stay around other people just to be safe. Do you happen to have your gun with you?"

"I do."

"Ok, just keep it in arms reach and stay alert."

"Thank you." She said before hanging up.

I left her dorm and headed for the main building. The night was weirdly silent. No wind, no people, no animals, no cars, nothing. It was extremely unsettling. I picked up my pace, practically running to her.

By the time I made it to the building, I was already out of breath. I quickly made my way to her classroom, hoping that there were still people around her. I rounded the corner and bumped into someone.

"Slow down there, you could have hurt someone." The person laughed. I froze, I recognize that voice.

MinJae

"I swear, if you hurt her I will-"

"You'll what? Kill me? Like I haven't heard that a million times. Don't worry, your little girlfriend is fine." He knew he was making me angry. I did my best to control my emotions to not give him that satisfaction.

I just walked away.

I can't fight him in the middle of the building, I definitely can't kill him here. Soon, I will put an end to MinJae for good.

Once he was out of sight, I ran to her. I made it to her classroom but she wasn't in the hallway like I thought she would be. I flung the door open, but the room was empty.

"Morgan? Are you in here?" I called out.

"Under here." I heard her say faintly. I went to the back of the room and she crawled out from underneath the table. She looked ok, but then she stumbled trying to stand up. I caught her and helped her sit in a chair.

"What the hell happened?" I asked.

"As I was leaving the room, he came up to me and started asking me stuff about a class. He pushed me into another room but everyone must have thought that we just wanted to talk in a quiet room, so they all kept walking. He said that he had a message for me to give to you, and he sprayed some gas in my face. He hit me over the head with something and then stabbed me in the arm. I managed to stand back up and push him into the wall and he hit his head. While He was knocked out, I ran back in here and hid." She spoke through heavy breaths.
