Don't go outside unless someone is with you, don't open the doors or windows regardless if someone is asking. Just stay home and you'll be safe. That's what I get told every time my aunt leaves. I'm not allowed to do anything outside because she is afraid of someone kidnapping me due to my powers. I'm what people call a Puppeteer, A person able to make and control dolls and puppets and to make strings to slice anyone.

It must be nice to go outside to play and meet other people. I hate that my aunt isolates me because she is afraid that I might just combust as soon as I step foot outside without her. I sighed as I stared blankly out the window. It was starting to rain a bit which was nice to look at the water droplets hitting the stone.

I miss mother. She died when I was 5 years of age. No one really knew what caused her to be critically wounded to the point of death. I remember her taking long trips and every trip she would bring me something. Pictures, jewelry, clothes, and one time a stuffed doll. It was a white rabbit with a eyepatch that had a heart on it. I've named him Buttons because he has a black button for his right eye.

I finally decided to walk over to my desk to see if I have missed any worksheets my aunt gave me. While looking I happened to have glanced over at the mirror in the corner of my room. My h/c hair was a mess, and dirty. I grabbed my brush off my dresser and started brushing away. When my hair is fully brushed it sits at the middle of my back. I set out some dark blue Jean shorts, and white T-shirt, black socks and a dark green jacket.

I got undressed and popped into the shower. The warm water was very relaxing. I have a bad habit of just letting the water run down me for too long. After I was done standing there I quickly washed my hair and body and popped out of the shower. I dried myself off and put my new clothes on. I was now laying in bed bored as hell. I'm not hungry and I have nothing to do but and idea popped into my head. I can go clean the attic. So I rushed up there in excitement.

I must admit my OCD dose get the better of me sometimes. When I'm bored I clean a lot. While I was cleaning I bumped into a shelf and a old locked box fell and the lock broke on impact. I stopped cleaning and picked up the broken box. In the box was a book, a book that belonged to my mother? I instantly grabbed the book and started to read it.

"I regret to write this at the beginning of my notes but this will be the last thing I have to give to my daughter. My time is short so y/n if you are reading this please know that I'm sorry for leaving you alone at such a young age. Please read the end pages there will be something for you. I'm sorry for pushing this burden on you."

Burden? What was she talking about? I skipped to the end of the book and a pendant fell into my right hand. I then started to read again.

"I fear that Mother Miranda has a trick up her sleeve. Her death is just a key for something bigger and my life is fading. I fear that y/n is going to have to finish what I started. That village and the Lords are still standing but still in danger. Y/n, you need to find Miranda's tool piece and end it before it destroys that village. The pendant you have is bound to you and will take you to the village. Just say Val'rasha."

"Val'rasha?" I said confused. Then the pendant glowed a bright light. Then all of a sudden my vision was blurry. A few minutes later and I woke up in front of a castle?

"What is going on?" I have no idea where I am and I'm in front of a castle. It was starting to get cold so I need to ask if it's okay if I can stay for the night. I walked up to the castle doors and knocked. No one answered so I started to walk away until the doors opened on it's own. I walked in slowly because I don't know what or who is in here. The place was very nice. Nicer than my aunt's house! I noticed a bit of dust of the floor and bookshelves and my OCD kicked in. I grabbed a cloth from a random table and started to clean. While I was cleaning a bell started to ring. I had to cover my ears because it was so loud.

I then heard footsteps walking where I was. I got worried so I called forth my shadow puppet so I could hid in it and thank god I did because what I saw startled me to no end. Three young women and one really tall lady walked in. The three short women where all wearing dark dresses and cloaks and the tall lady was wearing a white dress and a fancy hat.

"Mother there are muddy footprints." One of the women said. The tall lady hummed in response. Now that the women had turned around there was blood on the mouths of the three short women.

'My god the look like vampires.' I thought to myself.  But I knew they were onto me. If they find me I'm concerned on what they will do because I don't want to fight anyone if I don't need to.

"Seems like who ever walked in here hasn't gone far for the footprints are only in the main room it seems." The tall lady said.

'Oh mother what have you gotten me into.'
