A lost blonde (Shikanaru)

[Still Uzukage POV]

I had but one question to ask myself before I spoke, Do I want to reveal who I am? I had already consulted the Akatsuki, many of them being ANBU or Jonin rank, they had said it was up to me.

The answer, sure why not what could go wrong..?

"Hello I'm glad you could make, seeing as your a new Kage and all." Old hag said.

I looked up at her letting here see my face, "Wouldn't miss it, like I have my friends."

You could see the pure shock on her face. "Naruto?! 3 Years, and you come back the Uzukage..."

"That's me, I was still set on becoming A Kage, even if it isn't the Hokage." I simply replied, "Where is everyone else?"

Her expression turned from one of shock to one of small grief, "Sasuke left, we suspect he is working with Orochimaru. Hinata, Ino, and Sakura are out on a quick mission. Other then that everyone you knew is still here!"

I looked a little down "That's a pain...I see why you suspect Orochimaru...you may be right too."

"Listen here there is no time to sulk about it! We have a chunin exam going on and we can't let grief block our youthful vision!" I heard a voice behind me say.

"Lee!'' I turn around, not only to be greeted by Lee but everyone else. Hinata, Ino, and Sakura separated themselves from everyone, 

"Hai Hokage, we have completed our mission with success!" They reported to the Hokage and went back to the group, where everyone seemed to be at a loss for words.

I flashed my grin they're used to seeing, my fake smile, just to prove it was me, Naruto the missing blonde. Some where crying, others (Sakura) where just simply annoyed, while some had shit eating grins plastered to there faces. Before I knew I was bombarded with questions, and simple conversations. I saw everyone I knew, or almost everyone. I scanned my friends for the spiky black hair that I would pet at times, I was saddened to see he was not there.

"I knew I knew that scent!"

"Want some chips, you must be hungry from such a long journey!?"

"N-Naruto, your b-back!"

"Where have you been?!''

"He probably doesn't want to be bombarded guys."

"Thanks Shino." I said, it was true I didn't feel like answering all he questions they had, I was too tired. I turned to the teams waiting behind me, "Your dismissed, find me if you need something." They where quick to get out of the room,guess they didn't want to be there, it was a little crowded.

"I know everyone wants to know whats going on, but can I answer your questions tomorrow, we have 4 days before the Chunin exams and I'm tired from my trip. I can come back here or we could all meet somewhere else?" I asked.

" You will all meet here, I want to know to!"

With that we where  dismissed, I was lead by a leaf ANBU too a extra room in the Hokage Building.

"Thank you" I said before entering,I took my cloak and hat off before plopping on the bed for a good sleep.

Hai, again it was short 😅, I think I might just write short chapters, of course there will be the occasional long chapter.
