V O T E + C O M M E N TIt took no more than two days for Clementine to show up with Aria. She worried that her granddaughter had taken a turn for the worst, and the last thing on Clementine's mind was to ask why Justin Bieber, of all people, called updating her on everything that was going on with Selena.
Justin went to answer the door; seeing Clementine standing there in all of her glory was far more frightening than speaking to her on the phone. "Hello, Mrs. Woods," Justin finally greeted after clearing his throat.
Clementine stepped aside, letting the nanny who accompanied her walk into the home with a sleeping Aria in her car seat. Clementine whipped off her oversized sunglasses, sizing Justin up with her eyes stepping into the house.
A/N: Clementine Woods
She silently looked around the home, with every small judgmental click of her heels on the wooden floors. "How was the flight?" Justin awkwardly asked for the sake of making conversation,
Clementine turned around, "confusing," she said, peering back at Justin. "Are there any drugs in this house?" she bluntly asked him.
"The only drugs in here are prescription drugs, you know best of the best." Justin laughed but quickly stopped from how she was staring at him. "Sorry, bad joke,"
"Do you find my granddaughter relapsing funny, Mr. Bieber?" she sniped,
Justin rubbed at the back of his neck tensely, "ah no ma'am I-"
"So we are on the same page then." She curly said, brushing some of her silvered hair from her eyes, her face remaining unamused and stoic. Before long, Selena made her presence known, bringing nothing but pure emotion to Clementine as they embraced in a warm and inviting hug. "Selena, sweet pea," Clementine sighed, pulling her away at arms reach to get a good look at her. Selena still had a lovely color to her skin which didn't alarm her grandmother. What did were the prominent dark circles under her eyes.
Selena smiled, sincerely happy to see her grandmother, "hey gram, how was the flight?" She asked as she stepped away to the nanny who had Aria in her arms.
"Oh, it was alright," she said, making Justin roll his eyes from behind them.
Selena reached, taking a now awoken Aria from the nanny's arms and into hers. "Hey, baby girl!" Selena cooed, earning a smile from Aria. "Mommas missed you." Selena smiled, rubbing her hand over her daughter's dark brown curly hair. She was getting so big, Selena thought to herself; Aria was almost six months now, and if anything brought her joy in this very moment, it was around Aria.
