Suffice to say, Teagan was not being dramatic. I could feel the foul vibes radiating off of Mr. Abner from the outside of the classroom.
The second I swung open the door, I was face to face with a hideous gray-haired brown-eyed man who made Godzilla look hot.
When I say brown eyed, I don't mean 'eyes like a pool of warm, melted chocolate I could get lost in for days'. No. I'm talking full on 'sea of excrement'.
And believe me when I say those were his better features.
His body odor was so pungent, I reeled back into Teagan the moment the horrendous smell hit my nose. Don't even get me started on his atrocious scowl and his chapped lips which took up half his face.
In other words, he was as ugly as they come.
Then he opened his mouth. The sound that came out left me scarred. Period.
"-and who is this cretin with the audacity to show up for my class 15 minutes late?" He bellowed, as he turned his gaze away from the class and unto me.
My countenance changed as I stared at him with a distasteful look plastered on my face.
I grimaced as I muttered to Teagan.
"My my, what a hideous beast. I distinctly remember a 'no animals allowed' sign pasted on the wall outside'."
Teagan shook his head amused but grew serious as he noticed the tinge of lust that had appeared in our gremlin of a teacher's turd-brown eyes.
He glowered as he eyed Mr Abner.
"Leave that ogling for your wife at home, Bob, before I make sure my sister's the last thing you ever see."
The ogre looked up at Teagan, flinching, as if he had only just noticed his presence.
"F-forg-give m-me" Mr. Abner stuttered out before averting his gaze to the rest of the class.
I meanwhile, was silently dying of laughter.
I looked up at Teagan and snickered, "Bob? Really?"
He shrugged, amusement laced in the gesture, but kept his face stony.
My eyes softened.
"It's alright, Teag. I'm alright. He's not going to hurt me. No one's going to hurt me ever again."
His tense shoulders relaxed at my words and he threw in a nod for good measure.
Then he nudged me forward and waved slightly before strolling out of the class.
I rolled my eyes. That boy would be forever unserious when it came to class.
I found my way to a seat beside a smiling, red-haired girl. As I sat down, she shot be a grin which evoked a nod from me a return.
