When I woke up, it was dawn.

I looked at the sky outside and felt the strong urge to paint it. I ignored the urge, sat down at my desk, brought out my materials and got to work.

By 8:22, with the aid of a magnifying program on my techno specs, I had created 6 identical looking, plastic, microchips that I was going to slip into my brothers' food.

It took an hour to build and another hour just to write the program for the damn things.

They were extremely mini tracking devices which when swallowed, remained in your bloodstream until the anti-bot was administered.

You know, nerd stuff.

Besides, I liked to keep tabs on the people who were out to get me. Biological family was not an exception. They had been pretty mean to me the day before so I did not feel bad at all.

Except maybe for Gian. He seemed pretty nice.

And Adagio. He wasn't actually an asshole.

Now twinny on the other hand made me feel like creating a new virus that would leave him unable to have sex. It was obviously an activity he enjoyed doing and you know what they say; Go big or go home.

I put the glasses away and popped the last happy pill in my mouth along with two painkillers before going downstairs to do the deed.

I skipped down the stairs for the second time in two days and went into the kitchen where I found the-can I stress this again-maids preparing the last of the breakfast plates.

Perfect.

There were seven plates set out, one for each of us. I put the tiny chips in the cereal and took note of which plate didn't contain one. That, was mine. I then offered to set the table, placing the safe bowl on the part of the table that corresponded to the chair in which I had sat last night.

Now don't ask me why the spoilt ass motherfuckers needed maids to make their cereal. Where I'm from, outsiders weren't trusted enough to do things as simple as preparing food. I mean, take a look at me, I hadn't been here for up to a day and I was already attempting to implant my brothers with trackers.

Soon enough, the house's other inhabitants filed down the staircase. They all looked groggy and half asleep except for Romano and Gian who were already wearing their perfect suits.

It was 9:00 and the pill was still in effect-mostly. So while I didn't have a full blown smile on my face, it wasn't exactly a grimace either.

I took a seat at my place on the table and waited for everyone else to do the same because apparently, in this house, they don't eat till everyone is seated.
