Aangs POV.

Her long brown hair draped over her shoulder hiding her face from me made me smile. She would always look beautiful and always be your only love as long as you lived. After defeating the Fire Lord your role as avatar changed. No longer did everyone depend on you to save the world. They just depended on you to pick up the pieces of a world you didn't break. Why did they expect a 15 year old to do, no way you could run the world. Sure you could kick some ass in a fight, but you weren't all that great at politics and while your friends helped there was only so much they could do. Zuko had his own problems trying to get the Fire Nation back under control and getting rid of the "Lets take over the world!" mentality. Toph had decided to teach other earthbenders to metal bend and was getting together a group that could be a police of sorts in the Earth kingdom while Kuei (The Earth King) reclaimed his throne and tried to heal the wounds that Fire Lord Ozai inflicted upon his land. Sokka had brokered an alliance between the Southern and Northern Water tribes. Builders from the South would come and help rebuild the Northern Water tribe, also bringing their families along to help settle the North. Sukki was currently helping Zuko bring peace in the Fire Nation, some of the soldiers were unwilling to be tried for their part in the worlds destruction had started a rebellion against the throne. While Katara and me had gone South in order to fix the destruction I caused in defense against it and so she could teach water healing to some of the waterbenders here.

Kataras POV

Aang had entered the room a couple of minutes ago but you hadn't looked up because you needed to focus on the task at hand. But instead of walking over he just stood in the doorway studying you. It made you feel self conscious but there was no way you were going to tell him that. He started to walk away but you weren't going to let him ascape without at least kissing you. You stood up and bolted out the door onto his back so that he almost fell over. He burst out laughing making your heart flutter and your responsibilities melt away. You were his and for some reason he had chosen to be yours. You reached over his shoulder and planted a soft kiss on his cheek that made his smile stretch a mile wide. He set you down, turning around quickly to see you bolting away down the icy hallway, you could hear him catching up to you and you made an icy wall behind you to block his path. He jumped over the 6 foot wall and melted it on his way down, landing softly in front of you and kissing you passionately. The kiss along with the run left you out of breath and wanting more. You laid your head against your shoulder taking him in. The feel of his new water tribe clothing made him feel homey but his distinct smell of clouds still filtered through your nose. He hugged you closely, just holding you in the hall for what seemed like seconds but was probably  more like minutes. His lips brushed against the top of your head, He had grown taller in the last few months making him bigger than you. His features were less boyish, he had lost the roundness of his face, and had gained a very regal looking face that when he scowled made people uncomfortable. Aangs personality hadn't changed one bit though and you loved him for it. He was still playful, kind, gentle and caring. God you loved him and he loved you back.

Zuko's POV

Running a kingdom was hard work, and while Aang had helped for a little while he was in the Southern Water tribe right now and Mai was constantly complaining about how you never spent enough time with her. She expected so much from you, and yet you would never be able to meet her expectations. So she left, and while it saddened you, you still had a kingdom to run.

Sukis POV

Aang had sent you a letter telling you that he had to leave the Fire Nation and he didn't want Zuko alone with all of that responsibility resting on his shoulders.

I had recently realized that Tai Li had all the makings of a leader for the Kioshi Warriors and had made her second in command, Sokka and I had gotten in a huge fight, and haven't spoken since. That was four months ago.It broke my heart to leave Kioshi Island and travel all the way to the Fire Nation, but Tai Li was more than capable and the village was almost finnished being repaired since the damage Azula and her army had inflicted. So off to the Fire Nation by myself it would be. I couldn't bring anyone with me as I was not about to make Kioshi weakened by my absence. Zuko needed my help so I would go.

Zuko's POV

Suki had arrived yesterday, and while Aang had told me he sent for her I still couldn't believe she came. I thought she despised me but if she did she would not be here.

Sukis POV

Zuko had seemed wary of me at first but after a week or two he just seemed awkward. I'd only met him a couple of times before and he'd been really cute and adorable, but no one had ever told me he was kind of a serious awkward klutz of a guy. Everyone told me he was really confident but, he seemed to blush every single time I walked into the room. It was adorable. And I was starting to like him as in like like him. We would stay up late into the night discussing taxes, trading ports, food distribution, and all sorts of stuff. In fact I was going to his chambers in order to discuss taxes now.

I knocked softly on the door, hearing running water on inside and someone yell

"Come on in I'll be out in a sec" I'm guessing Zuko yelled.

I walked in timidly, I had stopped wearing my Kioshi makeup, and dress as I didn't need it to advise Zuko and suddenly I wished I was wearing it so I could hide from his sight, instead I'm wearing a red tube shirt   that leaves my stomach bare and a long flowy skirt . His room was unlike you would expect. It wasn't richly furnished, just a table, a small tan puffy couch that had a large desk like table next to it that held lots of parchment and pencils, a twin size bed in the far corner, a changing screen and a separate bathroom. He walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist, and his hair dripping water onto his shoulders. He is lightly tanned and there aren't any tan lines along his chest or six pack, He's flawless, and I can't help but stare. He doesn't move, he just stands there with a slight grin on his blushing face. The blush in his cheeks makes his golden eyes almost to bright to look at.

"Hey, Suki!" He says in a happily awkward way, scratching the back of his head.

"Hi, sorry is this?. Do you want me to come back in a little bit?" I ask stuttering nervously

"Uh, no sorry I'll just change and we can start." He says quickly

"Um, ok" I say awkwardly. Zuko grabs a dark red shirt that has been draped over the changing screen and pulls it on over his head in one quick move. Then he move behind the screen and comes out wearing the same colored pants. I meet his eyes shyly and say "You ready to get started?"

"Yeah, lets do this" He says

We sit down on the tan couch and start working on the papers. The couch is small enough that Zuko's leg brushes against mine. I stare at his lips as he talks, memorising, the way they move. His words begin to float away and eventually his eyes meet mine and I can't talk. I'm trapped in his gaze and slowly he reaches over and kisses me softly at first and then I kiss back and our lips sync together. My hands find his hair and I pull him closer, not wanting it to end. Then his hand reach my hips and push away.

"I-I-I'm  s-so sorry, I shouldn't have done that.." He says timidly

"Why? I'm not" I say annoyed at the fact that he stopped kissing me.

"You have a b-boyfriend, I can't believe I did that; Sokka..." He says but I cut him off

"Sokka and I broke up, months ago!" I almost scream.

"Oh... I didn't know." he says embarrassed

"Doesn't matter, will you just kiss me already." I say demandingly.

When our lips meet again its like lighting against my skin, electric and exciting.
