Mission success. They had successfully saved Isaac from getting killed by the hunters. Well now Stiles has to find a way of convincing his father and the whole station how the thick metal door was broken down by a unconscious man in a police uniform.
She flicked the lights open in the living room, throwing her shoes to side. Her stomach grumbled loudly just as she plopped down on the couch. She hadn't notice how hungry she was till then. It was probably the adrenaline pumping through her veins keeping her alive at this point.
Her eyes scanned the kitchen fridge as she deciding what to cook for dinner. She wanted something simple but filing. Taking chicken, various sauces, vegetables and rice from the cupboard, she decided to cook sweet sour chicken with some rice.
This was a daily routine for Eloise. Cooking her own food, eating dinner alone while staring at nothing. Her mother was always stuck in the office working till midnight. With Aurora being the only source of income in this family, she was forced to work twice as much to keep them afloat.
She wondered how different it would be if her dad decided to actually be a dad. Maybe they could all have dinner together every night and watch movies later, filing the house with laughter and happy smiles. Maybe she wouldn't have to rely Stiles to pick her up anymore. Maybe, just maybe, Lucas would still be here.
The mug shattered as it hit the floor, glass shards flying everywhere. The medicine was wearing off and her headache came marching in yet again.
Ever since she could remember, the blonde had this undiagnosed headache where it would either end up with her clutching her head in pain or screaming out in pain. The longest record she had endured this headache was 17 hours.
It wasn't particularly any normal headache caused by stress or lack of sleep. No, it was more than that. It was as if everything fades into the background and her vision blurs, leaving her only with a high-pitched ringing sound. But she couldn't just hear it, she can feel it. Her eardrums felt like it was about to burst any minute by now. Then comes the excruciating headache. Where the light becomes too bright and sounds become too loud.
Even after explaining this to several doctors, they shrugged it off as the scans and test came clean, thinking she was faking it. They just told her to take some headache relieving medicine and drink plenty of water. And she did what was told. She took Ibuprofen everytime she had a headache which was everyday but instead of water she drank plenty of coffee.
