"Are you sure you were stabbed?"
"I don't know, I just felt my leg stinging and then there was blood everywhere. It just happened so fast." Eloise muttered, her eyes cast down as Sheriff Stilinski took her statement.
"I'm sorry this happened. I'm just glad you're okay." He sympathized as he looked at her with sad eyes, giving her hand a tight squeeze.
"I'm glad too." She replied, biting on the insides of her cheeks to seem anxious. The medics told her how lucky she was that the stab wasn't fatal but she already knew that. Eloise specifically planned where to stab to avoid the femoral artery and nerves, so she wasn't in any danger. The blonde only needed crutches for a couple of days and she'll be healed in no time.
"Elle, do you wanna press charges?" Sheriff Stilinski asked, his voice becoming serious. "We couldn't find the weapon anywhere, I even checked their car. If want to press charges, it would be your word against theirs since there were no witness when it happened but you have evidence of assault."
Eloise knew exactly where the weapon was. After she pushed the knife into her thigh, the blonde quickly pulled it out and hid it under the pew where there was a secret space. Lucas and Eloise were constantly hungry during early morning sermons so they carved a spot under the wooden pew which was big enough to fit sweets and other snacks. Now, it housed a knife gifted by him covered in her blood.
The blonde pretended to be contemplated, the sheriff waiting patiently. "Can I talk to them first?"
"Sure." He answered, walking her to the room where the fake agents sat.
The room felt stuffy with only one light bulb, a table where both of them were handcuffed to and bare walls. She stifled a smile as there were no double-sided mirrors and the last time she checked, the cameras were down due to malfunction.
Eloise leaned her crutches on the wall and limped to the chair opposite from them and sat down. She looked over to Sheriff Stilinski still standing in the room and asked, "Alone?"
"They're handcuffed in the middle of a police station. They'd be dumb to do anything." She reassured when she saw him frowning at the idea. At first, she was worried the sheriff would refuse again but then he nodded and left. Just as planned
The second they were alone, Eloise dropped the hurt victim charade and looked over to the fake agents with a sly smile.
"Hello! How are you?" She exclaimed, unable to mask her excitement as the plan executed perfectly.
