CHAPTER 4
I ran down the cobbled walkway to the restaurant and through the parking lot. I looked back and saw Jake quickly catching up so I took off my heels because they were slowing me down. I sprinted down the road and made it to the other little shops that lined the street. I was approaching a small Starbucks, and thought if I made it there, I would be okay. I was only a few yards away when a strong arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me back. I struggled to get out of the grasp but my efforts made no impact against his body.
I could tell by the large hands that held my arms at my sides that it was Jake, even though I was blinded by my hair in my face. He lifted me up and slung me over his shoulder. I tried hitting him in the back but my small fists stood no chance. I just quit thrashing and went limp. I could feel the cold night air on my revealed bum and I wished I had worn a longer dress. Jake noticed this too and covered it with his hand, but didn’t go without giving it a small squeeze of course.
He carried me in to the restaurant and sat me back in my chair. I didn’t need a mirror to know my hair was probably a mess and my clothes were disheveled, which resulted in strange looks from other people. “That was a cute attempt.” were the only words Jake said before our food came. I just nibbled at my pasta whereas Jake scarfed down his steak like he hadn’t eaten in weeks.
“Eat your food Angela.” he commanded. I ate a few more bites but I had pretty much lost my appetite.
When we were done, Jake paid the bill and went out to his car. Jake basically lifted me in and went around to his side and started to drive. I figured he’d still be mad about me trying to run away. I didn’t want him to know I was looking at him, but I wanted to see if he was still angry, so I turned my head slightly towards him to see him with the smallest grin on his face. At least he wasn’t mad. He really was attractive. The lighting from the streetlamps outside gave just enough of a glow to see all of his long, dark eyelashes. His messy hair framed his face and his plump lips complimented his tan skin and dark eyes.
“It’s impolite to stare, love.” he chuckled, startling me. I blushed and quickly looked away.
“You’re so cute when you do that.” he said.
“D-do what?” I stuttered.
“When you get even slightly embarrassed, you blush like crazy.”
This of course brought on even more blushing, which made him smirk.
We finally got back to my house. “I’ll walk you up,” Jake said. He helped me out of the car and walked me to the door with his arm around my waist. I opened the door, walked in, and was about to shut it behind me when Jake pushed in after me. He pressed me roughly up against the wall. We were so close, and he smelled like peppermint. His body was practically molded into mine and my breasts were pressed into his chest. His lips were so close to mine, I cringed away.
“What did you think, I was going to let you go without a goodnight kiss?” he hotly whispered.
At this, I slapped him across the jaw. A small red handprint was visible. I expected him to be mad, but instead he grinned. “I can tell you’re going to be a challenge,” he practically growled.
He lightly kissed down my neck, and under my ear lobe, emitting a soft moan from me. My hand involuntarily fisted his shirt and his traveled to the nape of my neck. I really wanted to protest but I couldn’t think straight with him biting down on my collarbone, undoubtedly leaving a mark. He licked over the sensitive spot and blew on it, immediately soothing the bruise. He smiled cheekily down at me.
“You’re really mine now.” And with that he left me standing there completely frazzled.
