"And that's all we can do for now" Genshin says finishing the first bit of our project.

"Okay, we'll do the project in my place again?" I ask.

"Yes, that'll be what we'll follow everyday" Genshin says to me.

"Alright then uh, see you tomorrow?" I say to them.

"Yeah,  see you" Genshin says heading out of my room.

I feel like we had a moment on the way to my house. I'm not sure, I get they hate me and all but there could've been a little consideration. This crush on Genshin really can't get away huh? I stand up and turn off all the lights and head to bed.

time skip

I woke up still laying in my bed, yesterday with Genshin really kept playing over and over again in my head. I swear to god I can't convince myself she hates me. I get out of my bed and do the usual stuff I do to prepare myself. I head downstairs and grab the sandwich my mom premade for me. It was always just me and my mom, she barely talks about my dad. I head out of the house driving up to school.

I head to the school seeing Genshin at the school entrance for whatever reason.

"Hey what are you doing out here?" I ask heading up to them.

"I'll be honest, I was waiting for you, We need to talk about some stuff related to the project" Genshin says to me.

"Oh okay then" I reply.

There was some time left before the first period so I guess I could talk about the project with them.

We both head into the library choosing a spot to stay. Once we're seated Genshin talks about the details of the project. I would listen to her but their voice is muffled, like those cliches when you're in love and everything is going in slow motion. I kept staring at them until she caught my attention.

"Mcyt! Mcyt!" They say calling me.

"Yeah what's up?" I tried to make it obvious that I wasn't dazing off but I think it was obvious they knew.

"What are you staring at?" Genshin asks me.

"Nothing I just felt a little sleepy" I reply.

"Okay?" Genshin says.

After some classes, I hear Anime (an: the anime fandom basically) shouting in the cafeteria. I go there out of curiosity and see a bunch of people gathered.

"What's happening?" I ask Marvel (an: yeah I thought of the marvel fandom as mcyts friend idk)

"One word, prom" Marvel says to me.

"Oh cool" I reply.

This could be my chance to finally make a move with Genshin. I just need to play it cool.

After a few more classes Genshin and I head to my place to continue the project. This project is majority of our grade so I can see why they're invested in it.

"So I heard there's prom, are you going?" I ask them.

"Nope" Genshin says.

"Why?" I ask them.

"I don't have a date, and my friends are too busy to take me with them because they got dates" They respond.

"Well I could take you to prom" I say nervously.
"As a friend of course" I add.

"It's pretty ironic my enemy would take me to prom as a friend" Genshin laughs.

"Yeah, but what do you say?" I ask.

"Sure, I'll go to prom with you" Genshin says with a slight smile.
"Okay let's focus on our project now" They add.

"Oh right" I say whilst nervously laughing.
