"Black Swan," which is the first single off of BTS' upcoming album Map of the Soul: 7, is a song punctuated with a heavy trap beat and sighing instrumentals. It is also an art film featuring the Slovenian MN Dance Company that features a more classical version of the track.

The music video for BTS' "Black Swan" was filmed in Los Angeles. More specifically, it was filmed at the Los Angeles Theatre.

It's not everyday when you're called upon to work with the biggest group in pop music, but Toronto native August Rigo was one of the few trusted to co-write two tracks on BTS' latest album, "Map of the Soul: 7″ - "Black Swan" and "On."

The video was inspired by the movie Black Swan (2010). The art film opens with a quote from American dancer Martha Graham, "A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful", a quote which echoes the theme of the song.

Black Swan signifies an insight about yourself which changes your position from one of victim to victor. Black Swan is a graceful reminder to move from any position where you feel powerless and at the mercy of external forces; it is time to reclaim your personal power.

Overall, "Black Swan" is depressing, but that depression is what we need to accept in order to truly understand ourselves, and following the group's current concept, understanding and finding our soul.
