Chapter 4-Friends i think

Y/n POV
We played ball for a while  well scotty did I helped him at points and he needed it . Every time he went to catch it he fell over and when he through the ball it went two steps in front of him . I actually felt bad for him he looked quite upset when benny hit a heater .
" he's never gonna catch it "
" yeah no way "
"Common benny why did you do that "
They were right he didn't at all .He fell on the floor and the ball went flying over him onto the floor .All the boys fell down laughing and holding on to their stomachs .  I felt bad for him obviously he looked Upset and as if he had just killed himself . Which for the boys it kinda was killing his reputation be like .  That's when I decided I needed to step in . Quickly I ran over to where the ball was picked it up and threw it to ham . I made to put force and coordination into it so it would hit him in the head . And it did . Well it was his fault for laughing first so I didn't really care .
" ah shit that hit y/n why did you do that " ham said whilst rubbing his eye
" because you started making fun of smalls and well that was kinda rude cause he looks like a year younger then you or something "
" y/n right "
" no I feel sorry for ham he got hit "
These where some of the whiskers that went around the sandlot after I had said my reason .
" Enough " sighing I went over to ham and said
" if your gonna be such a wuss go get your mummy to help you or should I go and get a ice bag "
" Ice bag please "
" common y/n I'll walk with you  " benny pushed through the group of boys that had now crowded around me and ham
A while after ham was back up and running when started playing again this time I took my normal place center field and benny was just watching from the side  .  Then I hit it . And it was kinda hard .Again smalls fell over and well  this time everyone was annoyed . As soon as he fell over he picked the ball up and ran it back to Kenny . At wow as a best friend as kenny I only see that face when he is shocked.  Then I decided to step in .
" hey smalls you know you can throw it right "
" no I can't I really can't "
" why "
Then he lifted up his hat he had a massive bruise on the other eye not the eye he got hit on by squints . Then benny came over and taught him how to through to be honest I didn't really listen I was just wondering about how long the babe did baseball for till he got into the dodgers . Yeah I do weird thoughts when I'm bored .
" but how do you catch it " smalls said when I finally joined the conversation again
" just stick your glove in the air and I'll take care of it " I said stepping in
They looked at me like I had came out of nowhere  but it was ok . I ran over getting ready to hit .
" about time y/n my clothes were going out of style " squints said smiling down at his clothes
" they all ready are squints " yeah yeah stated .
" shut up " squints yelled back
I rolled my eyes and got ready to hit the ball
. " smalls send this to second base alright " I said
Nodding smalls started doing weird stretches I didn't know what he was doing at all . But then it goes racing towards him and . He isn't falling over then I look up he has it in his own glove .
Cheering was all you could hear from benny
Squints cleaned his glasses and checked he could see right .
" he's alright " squints stayed shrugging his shoulders
" told you so man " benny said happily
Then smalls threw it perfectly to Bertram who looked shocked
" okay let's play some ball " Bertram yelled
" I knew it all the time " kenny my best friend yelled whilst I was cheering for smalls . I know decided to just watch everyone for awhile and let  benny join back in . To me this was great we can now have a full team . They don't let groups compete with 8 boys and 1 girl but with 9 boys and a girl manager well that will be ok .
