The young alchemist told the thief‐ Hugo— the princess- Nuru— and the young arsonist- Yong— that Old Corona shouldn't be to far away, he said that after disappearing. The group wondered where Varian had set of to, he was the only one of the four who knew where they were actually going. Yong and Nuru wanted to stay with Varian, just in case they got lost but Hugo was sure that it wouldn't be to hard to find a small village. "Where do you think Varian is going?" Yong asked the two teenagers from the back of their wagon.

Hugo shrugged, "Goggles is probably getting a few hours sleep or maybe working on a geeky invention of his." He acted as if he was uninterested by what the raven haired boy was doing but honestly, he was probably just as curious as Yong.

"Maybe he isn't ready to go home," Nuru suggested, if Nuru was Varian, she wouldn't be ready to go home yet. "Varian left Corona with quest, a quest that we're still completing."

A quest that Hugo was meant to prevent from happening, the blond thought to himself with a frown. This was meant to be a easy job for Donella, he was meant to sell the token and then maybe get paid a bit but instead Donella made him befriend the group, to spy on them. In a last year Hugo felt the group grow on him, especially the blue-eyed Coronian, not like he would ever admit so. "What do you think Varian pa would be like?" Yong asked, "I think he would be nice."

The man Hugo, Yong and Nuru imagined when they thought of Quirin Ruddiger was a thin man, gray hair with welcoming eyes, basically a wiser version of Varian. "Anyone who raised Varian as kind and sweet as he is must be just as sweet." Hugo nodded and seconds later he realised what he had just done, he agree with the princess, Nuru smirked, taking that as a win in their ongoing battle of sass and sarcasm.

"I wonder what Varian's mum was like-" Nuru thought out loud, this was originally her quest after all. Though from what Varian had told them, not even Varian knew the answer to that thought.

"I'm all for bad manners but we probably shouldn't be talking about Varian when he isn't here," Hugo words made had him realise, but isn't that what he does every time he meets Donella? How much of a hypocritical was he?

Boom!

"Did you hear that?"

"I think everyone in all of the seven kingdoms heard that!" Hugo had said as he turned to face the trees guarding the centre of the noise, that's where Old Corona should be.

Suddenly a bright light filled their vision and for seconds everything white. When the light was gone, they were in the same place but instead of the orange autumn weather it was snowing?

"What just happened?"

Nuru shook her head as if she was trying to wake herself up, double checking this was real. "I don't know."

"Ah, guys?"

"What?" Hugo pointed to a pointy black with glowing blue lines growing out of the ground, "That's a black rock."

"Let's get to Old Corona, quick."
