Obsession [PART 1]

Silence

   A week had passed since Sunghoon left him behind. Sunoo was sitting at the table, talking with Jungwon and Jay.

   Jay was telling them the times when he fell down the river while riding his bike. Sunoo was turned into a mix of tight-lipped smile and shaking shoulders after Jay told them the whole story.

   Jungwon has already lost it. His face was red and there were tears on the edge of his eyes. Jay told him to stop laughing.

   Sunoo noticed his subtle glance and the soft smile appearing on his face when he saw him holding his laughter.

   "Hyung, you're so lucky to fell into the river and not somewhere else," Jungwon said. He coughed and took a deep breath after laughing his lungs off.

   Footsteps were heard coming from their shared bedroom. Someone trudged towards them with his hand hiding under his shirt, hair sticking up in all directions.

   "What are you talking about?" Heeseung said. He yawned and sit beside Sunoo. His hand reaching out to take a piece of toast, spreading grapes jam on it before savouring his breakfast.

    Jay told him his story as simple as he can. Heeseung's reactions never disappoint. He burst into laughter, making his members sitting around him, except Jay, hold their laughter again. Jay groaned and rest his chin onto Jungwon's shoulder.

   A tiny part of the toast Heeseung was eating got stuck in his throat, blocking his airways. He starts beating his chest in an attempt to clear the food from his throat. Sunoo saw Heeseung's face turning red and realised that he was choking.

   Jungwon who was holding his laugh for the third time stopped when he realised what is going on.

   "Hyung, are you okay?!" He grabbed water from the fridge and pass it to him. Heeseung drank straight from the bottle and let out a sigh when he can finally feel the air filling his lungs.

  "I thought I'm finally going to see my goldfish again," Heeseung said. Head now on the table, eyes staring into the ceiling.
Sunoo put a hand behind his back and began to pat his back gently.

   Another footstep was coming from their bedroom. Sunoo eyes were focused on Heeseung, he didn't saw the person who was coming towards them.

   "Good mor-" His words were halted. Standing in front of him was a man he hadn't talk to for this past week. His eyes were looking everywhere but never at him. He left the kitchen after greeting everyone but Sunoo and went to the bathroom.

   A loud chirping sounds filled the room. Sunoo, Jay and Jungwon have to leave for school. Sunoo went to school with an uneasy feeling. Being ignored doesn't feel amazing, he felt as if he was a speck of dirt.

   Jungwon noticed how quiet Sunoo had become. His eyes were staring on his lap and his mouth formed into a pout. He can't help but feel bad for the latter.

   It was clear to other members that the two of them wasn't going to talk anytime soon. At first, they tried to fix whatever is going on with the two. Jungwon went to ask Sunoo and he said to talk with Sunghoon. Sunghoon said that he just want to have some space with Sunoo.

   The leader talked with other members too. Ni-Ki and Heeseung were on the same boat as him. But Jake and Jay, they knew something, something that they wouldn't tell him. The double J's told him to let them be, maybe Sunghoon want to fix his wrongdoing to Sunoo, that's the reasons why Sunghoon might want to have some space.

   They were just assuming, but it does make sense. Jungwon told the four of them to just let them be, although it might suffer their teamwork.

   "Sunoo Hyung, want to grab some mint choco Ice-cream after school?" Jungwon said.

   Sunoo pout changed into a smile and he nodded enthusiastically at Jungwon's invitation.
