I adjusted my saddle on the palace horse I'd be borrowing, nervous about going against Odin's wishes. Odin had only gave me a roof over my head, never treating me like an asgardian worth his time, unless he needed my powers. I hop on my horse and tighten my grip on the reigns. Loki mounts right next to me. "What's on your mind?" He asks me. I glance at him for a moment, "To get this bloody over with." I say back to him.
We all ride quickly through the streets of Asgard to make our way onto the Bitfrost. I turn my head and see the palace become smaller as we ride. I knew what I was getting myself into, and it become too late to back out now. We all come to a stop once noticing Heimdall standing in the entry. We dismount from our horses and walk up to him. "You leave this to me." Loki says to us, walking up first. "Good Heimdall..."
"You're not dressed warmly enough." Heimdall says with no expression, leaving me with no thoughts. I'm not surprised, Heimdall does see all.
"I'm sorry?"
"Do you think that you can deceive me?" Heimdall asks Loki. "You must be mistaken..."
"Enough!" Thor shouts making me feel on edge with this rage within him. "Heimdall, may we pass?" Thor asks him firmly. "Never has an enemy slipped my watch..until this day. I wish to know how that happened." Heimdall answers.
"Then tell no one where we have gone until we've returned. Understand?" Thor asks before walking past him, the others following with Loki and I behind. "What happened?..Silver tongue turn to lead?" Volstagg teases as he passes Loki.
I gently pat his shoulder as we walk into the Bitfrost.
We stand in front of the opening as Heimdall stood behind us with the sword, suddenly lightning and electricity run through the Bitfrost opening the to Jotunheim.
"Be warned. I will honor my sworn oath to protect this realm as its Gatekeeper.. If your return threatens the safety of Asgard, Bifrost will remain closed to you and you'll be left to die in the cold waste of Jotunheim." Heimdall warns us before opening the bridge.
"Couldn't you just leave the bridge open for us?" Volstagg asks him.
"To leave the bridge open would unleash the full power of the Bifrost and destroy Jotunheim with you upon it."
"I have no plans to die today." Thor says with a cocky smile. "None do."
We're pulled through the bridge as space and time move around us until we're left at the entrance of Laufey's chambers. I begin to feel uneasy with the rebellious acts against Laufey. "We shouldn't be here." Hogun says quietly making me glance at Loki for a moment. "Let's move." Thor orders with a one tracked mind. Loki nods to me making me feel a bit at ease as we walk towards the chambers. I shiver at the temperature but kept a hand on my sword at all times, prepared for whatever may come.
But there was not a soul roaming the grounds we walked on. "Where are they?" Sif asks us all. "Staying warm, I suppose." I say sarcastically.
"Hiding," Thor says immediately after, "as cowards always do."
Finally, we reach Laufey who was sat on a large throne. "You've come a long way to die, Asgardians." He says with a low growl to his voice.
"I am Thor Odinson!" Thor starts to shout.
"We know who you are." Laufey interrupts.
"How did your people get into Asgard?!"
Laufeys red eyes look towards us now, making me feel his gaze down to my soul. "The House of Odin is full of traitors." Laufey says with a small smirk.
"Do not dishonor my father's name with your lies!" Thor shouts defensive to the comment.
"Your father is a murderer and a thief! And why have you come here? To make peace? You long for battle. You crave it. You're nothing but a boy trying to prove himself a man." I hear footsteps from hundreds approach from around and above us, but I keep my eyes on Laufey and Thor. "Well, this "boy" has grown tired of your mockery." Thor says making me raise an eyebrow to the comment. I look to see the Frost Giants grow ice spears from their arms, ready to attack.
Loki quickly steps up to Thor to try to reason with him, "Thor, stop and think. Look around you, we're outnumbered."
"Know your place, Brother." Thor snaps back making me feel defensive for Loki and step towards them.
"You know not what your actions would unleash...I do..Go now, while I still allow it." Laufey tells us before a giant walks toward us, ushering us to leave.
"We will accept your most gracious offer." I tell him leaving a tap on Loki's shoulder as I step back.
"Come on, Brother." Loki tells Thor as we begin to turn around.
"Run back home, little princess." The Giant chuckled making me tilt my head up, knowing this wasn't going to be an easy way exit. "Damn."
Thor smashes the giant with his hammer, making him fly backwards into stone. "Next?"
I turn to see 3 giants begin to run towards me as well. I bring the stone from beneath them up into the air, making them fly up before moving another piece of stone on top of them making them not a problem anymore.
I begin to fight the rest off with my sword, throwing more out of my way with just a flick of the wrist. "Don't let them touch you!" Volstagg shouts to us. I take on 2 more giants with my sword before decapitating one and piercing the other through his heart.
Fandral shouts in pain making me turn to see an ice shard has pierced his chest. "Thor!" I shout for him as I help Fandral off the shard with Volstagg. "We must go!" Loki shouts.
"Then go!" Volstagg begins to throw him on his shoulder but I stop him. "I'll levitate him. Let's move out!" I order as we begin to move but we feel the floor rumble as the Frost Beast was unleashed. "Run!!" Volstagg yells as we begin to run away. I keep Fandral above us as we ran.
"Thor!" Loki tries to shout for him one more time but he was still fighting.
We run as stonehenge's fall around us and the Beast grows closer on our tail. I can feel it's arm fall close to Sif so I turn and raise Stone from underneath his arm, stopping it from crushing her. A huge surge of Thor's powers make the Giants fall as well as the ground underneath them. I turn to see the Beast fall through this growing pit as well. Fandral gives out a laugh at the sight but something told me it wouldn't be the end of that beast just yet.
We run until we stop at a deep cliff, where we had entered Joutenheim. "Heimdall! Open the bridge!" I shout but there was no bridge. I let Fandral down a bit to be held by Volstagg and Hogun now as we wait. But then, the beasts sharp talons for nails appear instead from beneath us as it climbs onto the ledge. It lets out a deep roar into our faces as it climbed up making me choke up a bit. Until suddenly, as it made its way onto our ledge, something shoots through it making it fall over to the ground, dead. Thor lands in front of us with a grin as the beast rolls over into the canyon. The grin fades and we turn to see an army of giants surrounding us. I pull out my sword before a bright light stops us and the bridge was opened..but not for us.
Odin appears on his steed and in his uniform with his staff. "Father! We'll finish them together!" Thor says happily.
"Silence!" Odin hushes him quickly. Laufey moves towards Odin as they begin to stand face to face to one another.
"Allfather...You look weary."
"Laufey, end this now." Odin begs.
"Your boy sought this out." Laufey says making me glare to Thor.
"You're right. And these are the actions of a boy, treat them as such. You and I can end this here and now, before there's further bloodshed." Odin says trying to make amends.
"We are beyond diplomacy now, Allfather. He'll get what he came for. War and death."
"So be it." Odin says with a small smile before opening the bridge with a raise of his staff and we were now back in the Bitfrost on Asgard.
"Why did you bring us back?!" Thor asks Odin.
"Do you realize what you've done? What you've started?"
"I was protecting my home."
"You cannot even protect your friends! How can you hope to protect a kingdom? Get him to the healing room! Now!" Volstagg and Hogun rush Fandral out with Sif behind them.
"There won't be a kingdom to protect if you're afraid to act. The Jotuns must learn to fear me, just as they once feared you." Thor says making me uncomfortable by the intensity.
"That's pride and vanity talking, not leadership. You've forgotten everything I taught you
about a warrior's patience.."
"While you wait and be patient, the Nine Realms laugh at us. The old ways are done. You'd stand giving speeches while Asgard falls."
"You are a vain, greedy, cruel boy!" Odin shouts making me tear up by the rage from the bickering. I knew something would be said that couldn't be taken back and I was correct.
"And you are an old man and a fool!" Thor shouts right after him making my hairs stand up.
"Yes..I was a fool..to think you were ready."
"Father..." Loki tries to step in but Odin only lets out a growl back in rage. He turns back to Thor, "Thor Odinson, you have betrayed the express command of your king. Through your arrogance and stupidity, you've opened these peaceful realms and innocent lives to the horror and desolation of war!" He places his staff into the Bitfrost making it turn on and begin to open the bridge. He makes his way to Thor with anger and sadness in his eyes. "You are unworthy of these realms!" He begins to tear at his armor, "You're unworthy of your title!" He tears off his cape, "You're unworthy of the loved ones you have betrayed.." Odin steps away as I feel a tear fall down my cheek. "I now take from you your power!" His hammer soars into Odin's hand, "In the name of my father and his father before, I, Odin Allfather, cast you out!" Thor's armor was completely dismembered before Odin pushes him through the bridge to wherever he'd sent him. I jump from the push, as does Loki. We walk to the entry as we see Thor disappear into Space.
"Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." Odin whispers to the Mjölnir before throwing it with Thor and the bridge closes.
Loki and I were left speechless, I couldn't stop looking at the closed bridge, knowing Thor was almost long gone. I hear Odin's footsteps leave the Bitfrost but I stayed put.
"We should go too.." Loki says with a hand on my shoulder. I was confused and saddened by the banishment. I look to Loki who seemed to feel the same way. I only nod back at him before we begin to walk to the bridge back to Asgard.
