Mischief

four

I sit in my chambers as I manipulate the water from my cup and make it dance through the air. These powers weren't always so easy to control. The elements were the most difficult task to complete. Everything else was almost smooth and easy. I hear a knock at the door and make the water return back to where it belongs. The doors open to show Loki, upset by news. "Will he be alright?" I ask him, moving towards the door. He seemed to not care for the question. "Loki?" I call, making him look up to me. "Are you alright?" I ask instead.
"Why did you kiss me back, Thalia?" He asks, catching me off-guard. "It's always been something with you, Loki. You just finally made a push." I shrug.
We'd been side by side since I've lived in the palace. Trainings, Frigga's teachings, dinner, free time, I was always with him. As mischievous as he could be I could always see a soft spot for me. I got the least amount of games played on me. "I'm a monst-.."
"Don't even finish that sentence!" I interrupt, frustrated at his way of thought. I walk up to him and place a hand on his cheek as he moved to look away from me. I pull his face back to me and we share another kiss. He relaxes a bit and I feel butterflies. I finally pull away from him and look into his eyes. "You're still the Loki I know and cherish." I say with a small smile.
His relaxed expression soon fades and he turns away from me. "I will be back, don't follow." He orders me. "Where are you-?"
"Don't!" He turns and points a finger to me, "Follow."
He turns back around and walks out of my chambers, closing the door behind him. I take a breath for a moment. Same old Loki.

It had been quite the while since he'd been gone. I asked the guards but no sign of him. I sat in my room and decided to check on him. I close my eyes and take a few breaths. "Loki.."
I open my eyes to see what Loki saw, Thor wearing midguardian clothes, sitting in an all white room, crying. Loki was talking to him.
I open my eyes to see my chambers again. I felt deceit and dishonesty when I saw through Loki.

I sat with my friends in the palaces common area. They all only glanced at me as I stood in the side of the room. "Our dearest friend banished, Loki on the throne, Asgard on the brink of war, yet you've managed to consume four wild boar, six pheasant, a side of beef, and two casks of ale. Shame on you! Don't you care?" Fandral explodes onto Volstagg, pushing his plate of food to the ground.
"Do not mistake my appetite for apathy!" Volstagg stands to face Fandral.
"Stop it, both of you!" I shout from where I stood and Sif pushed them away from each other "Stop."
"Why were you standing with him, Thalia?" Fandral asks me making me stand up a bit straighter. I felt like I couldn't tell them about the kiss or the love i had begun to feel for him, they wouldn't understand. "I've come to find out I'm the one of the only ones he truly cares for in this palace. I couldn't let him handle the situation alone." I shrug. "But I'm afraid to say that we need Thor back." I let out in a whisper.
"We all know what we have to do." Sif whispers back.
"We must go." Hogun agrees. "We must find Thor."
"It's treason." Fandral argues. "To hell with treason, it's suicide." Volstagg agrees with him. "Thor would do the same for us. Wouldn't he?" I ask them raising an eyebrow. "Now shush. Heimdall might be watching." Volstagg shushes me but not a moment longer the doors open and two guards walk in. "Heimdall demands your presence." He states to the room.
"We're doomed."

"You would defy the commands of Loki,
our king, break every oath you have taken as warriors, and commit treason to bring Thor back?" Heimdall lectures us after I made my armor appear on my body to see him. "Yes. But.."
"Good." Heimdall says stepping down from the bitfrost. "So you'll help us?" I ask him.
"I am bound by honor to our king. I cannot open the bridge to you." He says walking away and down the bridge to the kingdom. "Complicated fellow, isn't he?" Fandral says to us. "Now what do we do?" Volstagg asks us. I turn after hearing light electricity. The sword was left behind.
"Look!" I call to them. Volstagg opens the bitfrost and we quickly jump through.
We move through space and time all at once.
