Rose sat in the dining room of her parent’s house alone. She glanced at the digital clock on the wall opposite her spot on the table. 1:07am. She had been up for several hours after tucking Tallulah in bed trying to formulate a plan on what to do about her cheater of a husband. She definitely saw Meredith through the window of their house that morning; there was no doubt about it. The scank was sleeping with a married man and she had to pay. But how? Rose wanted to give Meredith the ultimate revenge. Something that would make her suffer as much as she did in that hell hole of a psychiatric hospital. That’s why she knew she couldn’t react that morning when she saw her. She didn’t want them to see it coming, and boy wouldn’t they…

“Oh my God” Meredith panted as she fell on the white sheets of the bed next to Derek.

“You got that right,” he said between heavy breaths.

“That..was..”

“Freaken amazing!” Derek finished. “Better than last night. I didn’t think it was possible, you’re amazing.” He said lovingly as he reaching for Meredith’s face and brought her mouth to his lips.

“Mmmmm” she moaned when he drew back from the kiss. “Better be careful or we might have to go for another round,” she chuckled.

“Oh I’m down for that.”

Before she knew it, Derek had grabbed her in his arms and was lying on top of her, smothering her face and neck with kisses. Meredith reveled in the feeling of him for just a moment it was like heaven. Derek just kept making her want more and more. But she couldn’t. They had things to discuss, important things that she couldn’t put off any longer, no matter how good the sex was.

“Derek,” she whispered weakly, moving her arms between her chest and his to push him off.

“Hmmmm you smell so good,” he responded as he buried his face between her neck and her hair.

“Derek seriously, get off me for a minute!” she responded more strongly, this time managing to push him up enough to roll out from under his strong hold.

“Hey! What are you doing?”

“Before we go for round…what three was it? Whatever, we need to talk.”

“Four but who’s counting?” he said smugly. There it was, that beautiful smile she couldn’t resist. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath she tried to focus herself.

“We need to talk about what we’re gonna do about us, and Rose, and work and the media and…”

“Who cares!?” Derek interrupted. “Can’t we just live in our little bubble for longer, I’m not ready for secrets and lies. In fact, I don’t want to lie about us period. We need to make this public.”

“What!?! No we need to think this through first Derek. Your wife just got out of a mental hospital, or did you forget that??”

“My soon to be ex-wife” he said, smiling as he leaned in to make a trail of kisses down her cheek to her neck.”

Meredith got lost in the feel of it for a second before pushing him away again, “Stop. I love it when you do that but stop.”

“Fine,” he pouted, sitting up and leaning his back against the bedhead whilst crossing his arms in front of him.
