Chapter 5

Ranboo POV

*1 week time skip*

I sat up and stretched before glancing over to where Phil slept on a cot at the other side of the room. He had stayed with me and Techno for the past week, just in case Dream came back. As I got out of bed, Phil stirred and sat up stretching.

"Morning mate!" he yawned. "I've got some good news for you," he continued sliding out of bed and clipping his communicator to his belt. "Me and Techno found somewhere for you to stay! It will only be temporary, but Dream doesn't know where it is and it is a lot safer than here. It belongs to a friend of Tommy's. I don't think you've met him before."

Phil told me about where I would be going and helped me pack all of the things that I would need for the trip. I had gotten a horse a while back, but hadn't used it yet. Mostly because I didn't have anywhere he needed to go. It was mostly white with brown patches on its back and a black gradient on its legs and face. I thought it was very pretty and I named it Allium, just like my favourite flower.

Techno changed the bandages on my arm and checked some of the more serious burns on my chest and arms before handing me a healing potion and making sure I drank it all. Even though the wounds would eventually heal, he insisted on speeding it up with healing potions every other day. They tasted terrible, but I drank them anyway because I knew he was only trying to help. A few people arrived around noon and we were on our way.

Sapnap and Skeppy stayed back at the house with Techno while Phil, Fundy, Eret, and Niki went with Ranboo.

It had been nearly four hours and we still weren't even halfway there. The gentle sounds of the wind rustled through the trees as the horses walked over the forest floor. The birds chirped energetically from the branches above us and the soft rush of a stream was relevant in the distance. I could see Fundy to my left looking tired but still fully awake. Eret rode behind me next to Niki and Phil rode in the front. I yawned and shook myself to stay awake. I felt my communicator vibrate on my belt.

ItsFundy whispers to you: if you fall asleep on my shoulder i won't tell ;)

You whisper to ItsFundy: fuck off

a/n: first off, somehow reads doubled overnight. i'm speechless. umm, thank you. also i don't know if i have mentioned this, but i have this book already written or like pre-written so that i can post one chapter a day while working on book two. i might have you guys vote on a title for book 2 at some point, but that would be a bit further into the book. anyways drink some water, have an awesome day, imma go eat breakfast. see ya tomorrow!
