True to his word Samael has returned to Tsukinoki and this time he was not alone. By his side is his elite group of soldiers known as the Reaper Corps. The Reapers cut down the citizens of Tsukinoki one by one. Their lifeless bodies fall to the ground and dissolve into nothingness. Your vision shifts and you see that Danu is being forced by Samael to watch her villagers be slaughtered. She is bound in place by Samael's magical chain scythe. Tears of pure sorrow and rage flow from her eyes. Her whole body begins to glow with an unholy blue flame. From this flame Mei is born of Danu's sorrow and rage towards Samael. Samael being too caught up in his sick sense of joy doesn't notice Mei's birth. However, the stoic man from Mei's previous vision does. He then grabs hold of Mei's hand and attempts to flee with her. However, some of the Reapers give chase and Mei and the man are separated by their pursuers. The final thing Mei sees in her vision is Samael standing over Danu's body with a sinister smile on his face. Next to him is your past self bound in chains.
With the scene ending all the memories of your past come flowing back into your mind. Once more you are in the blank space with the shadowy figure of Danu. Your eyes are puffy and red from crying, "I-I thank you for giving me back my memories," Mei sniffed. [ You are welcome my daughter. Now I can finally rest.] The shadow then dissolves and you are now left alone. No longer was Mei afraid of herself for now she knew that her powers we not a curse but a blessing. Her so-called "Beast" only wants her safety and for her to be more open about her emotions. Having accepted this Mei now has full control over her powers of shadow manipulation and Spectre transformation.
Closing her eyes and calming her mind Mei breaks out of her state of astral meditation. Once more she is alone in her room in Diavolo's estate. She feels wetness on her cheek; the cut she received was still bleeding and her face was still wet with tears. Reaching over to her nightstand she picks up her D.DD.
