A man is found naked in the middle of the desert. There are no foot prints around him, and all that is near him are three straws of different lengths. How did the man get there?

The man was on a hot air balloon over the desert with two other men. The hot air balloon was sinking so they took of their clothes to lighten the weight. That didn't work so they drew straws. The man who drew the shortest straw was thrown out of the hot air balloon.
