I felt relieved when I didn't hear the screaming anymore. I knew the Jak games, but I never knew how Daxter got turned into a gopher looking thing. I have to play that game just to see if he gets changed back, but then again, I've seen the games later in the series. I don't think he does.
I put the remote back down on the invention and left, glancing out the window when I started to hear birds chirping. Could it really be morning already? Although I went to three different games too.
I went into the kitchen and made some pancakes for my siblings, just to be nice to Serah so she wouldn't think of blackmail. And Nathan really needed it, we weren't exactly being the best sisters to him either…
"Ooh, breakfast!" I heard Serah's voice as she ran down the stairs and eyed the stove. "Wait, you're making it?" She asked, pointing at me in disbelief.
"Yeah…?" I asked as she crinkled her nose. "Hey!"
"Sorry sis, but ya can't cook." She stated as Nathan came down the stairs, rubbing his eyes.
"Hey." He greeted, coming into the kitchen and standing next to me. "Smells good."
"Thanks." I said as I put some on a plate and gave it to him. He gratefully took it and went to his spot at the table, and waited for the rest of us. We all sat down, and it felt… kinda like we were a family again.
"So, what're you two up to?" Nathan asked us. Serah shot me a look and smiled at her plate.
"Um, not much." I stammered as Serah shoved a piece of food in her mouth to stop herself from laughing. "Why do you ask?"
"I gotta go to the store and buy some oil to stop all the doors in this house from creaking." He answered, and it was legitimate. All the doors in this hose haven't really been moved in a while, so it was desperately needed. "But while I'm gone I need you two to think of some vacation thing we can do."
"Oh, okay!" Serah exclaimed, shooting me a look. I glared at her and shook my head lightly without Nathan noticing. Her spirits dropped instantly.
"Okay." Nathan said, ending the conversation and putting his dishes in the sink. He grabbed his car keys and waved to us and left. Serah and I stood by the front window and watched him drive away.
"Let's hope he comes back this time." Serah muttered and left the window. I knew he would, but then again, Mom and Dad didn't… but this was Nathan, he wouldn't do something to get himself killed. And it was a department store, right? He'd be fine. I don't know why I'm getting so worried…
"Relax, Serah." I called as I heard a door being opened and shut again. I ran to the office and jerked her away from The System before she had the remote strapped on her wrist.
"What the Hell, Kairi?" She whined as I strapped on one too.
"You're not going in there alone, are you crazy?" I shot at her, but she gave me another glare for the umpteenth time today.
"Fine, but can we?" She sounded hopeful, her eyes lighting up and staring up at me with them.
"I… guess…" I muttered as she pushed past me and started hitting buttons. I threw her back to the center of the room and hit the correct settings, and then walking next to her.
"What do ya think it'll be this time?" She asked as the red line scanned us.
"I don't know, hopefully something multiplayer…." I trailed as we were pixilated, and we were off.

The first thing I see is the steering wheel. My hands are locked onto it. I'm sitting down in some sort of car, and the finish line was right above me. I read the words and squealed happily, but turned to look at Serah who was next to me. She gives me a smile and we wait for the countdown. during that I look around, and I see a ton of characters. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Koopa Troopa, and many more behind us.
