“Owen, I don’t need to go to school. It’s for people who don’t know anything.” I groaned rolling over in my bed.

My bedroom is black, white, and yellow. I have black and white patterned wall with a black door. l have a black bed with a white and black comforter and yellow pillows. It suites me. Dad has a lot of money, so we live in a relatively big house, in a nice neighborhood.

“Tyler you’re acting like Natalie right now. It’s your first day at your new school, so grow up and get dressed and ready to go. You want to look nice on your first day.” Owen said, pulling the sheets of me.

I slowly stumbled out of bed and walked down to my bathroom. Once there, I took off my pajamas and hopped into the shower, turning up the water temperature to warm up my cold and tired body.

This was my second school since we moved to Arizona. The first one I was at, Edgewood High School, wasn’t a good fit for me. I got in a fist fight with a girl named Carly during my third week there. I beat the crap out of her, but apparently it doesn’t matter how hard you beat them up, you still get expelled.

So now Dad transferred me to Gladesville High. He got Owen to come out to be here for my first few days to “make the process easier” for me, but I think he knew that she would be the only one to keep me out of any fights.

I heard nothing but bad things about Gladesville. At Edgewood, they used to talk about how they were all stuck up and preppy. A lot of the guys told me that the sports were really good, so that’s a good thing for me, but I don’t do well with preppy girls.

After I finished conditioning my hair, I turned off the shower and hopped out, then wrapped myself in a fluffy towel. I tucked the towel under my arm so that I could do my hair, then blow dried my hair. It ended up falling into loose waves so I decided to leave it like that. I put on light makeup then went to my room to put on some clothes for the day.

I shuffled through my closet for something to wear for about 20 minutes before I finally decided on dark jeans with a plaid flannel and a green cargo jacket. I paired the clothes with my black booties and a brown bag. I put on the clothes I picked and trotted downstairs.

When I got downstairs there were waffles sitting on the counter next to a jar of syrup and whipped cream. I plopped my bag down then proceeded to put butter and syrup on my waffles. Shortly after, my dad walked down.

“Hey kiddo. You ready for your first day?” he said.

“I don’t think I have a choice whether I’m ready or not, dad. But thanks for the support.” I replied.

“You know, you don’t have to act like a rebellious teenager that hates her life all the time, Tyler. You could act like you value other people’s compassion and love for you once in a while. It makes others feel good.” Mason said, walking into the kitchen.

“God, if I could kill you, I would.” I shot back.

“Do we really need to do this at this hour? Mason, relax. It’s your sister’s first day at a new school. Give her a break, because she’s probably a little freaked out even if she doesn’t show it. And Tyler, you need to stop threatening your sister’s life.” my dad fired at us.

“Well, I have to go to school. I’ll be late if I don’t leave now.” I said standing up and grabbing my bag.

“Alright honey, have a good day. Text me or call me if you need anything.” my dad said.

I left out the front door and hopped in my black Kia Soul and turned on the radio, only to hear Clouds by One Direction. God, I would pay to marry Harry Styles I put the schools address into my GPS, then backed out of my driveway and followed the directions to my new school.
