Nezuko's POV

After me and Kanao talked I went to my first class. Everything went so slowly but before I knew it it was lunch!

"Oh Kanao!" I touched her shoulder and she turned around.

"Oh, I can't wait to sit with you today." She said while holding her hands together.

We left for the tree in the field.

She sat down. In my spot but I didn't mind. We talked for a while about butterflies. I learned her favorite butterfly is the Large Health.

"I don't know much about butterflies, but I'd say my favorite is the monarch." I said.

"Great choice!" She glowed.

We talked and talked and talked.

It was the end of lunch now. We said our goodbyes because this was the last time we'd see each other for the day.

I waited for Tanjiro because despite not talking that much we lived at the same orphanage. I just wanted to make sure we both had each other.

"Hey Tanjiro." I said as we were walking.

"Hey Nezuko, how was your day!" He responded.

"It was amazing! I spent all my time with Kanao." I clasped my hands together.

"Wow! So you're the person she's ditching us for!" He teased.

"Yeah? And what about it." I laughed.

Wow I forgot how fun it was to talk to my own brother.

We arrived at our orphanage.

It was tan on the outside with a brown outer rim that surrounded the windows, doors, and roof. It looked pretty nice on the outside but the inside wasn't that great. The floors were rickety and it was 3 stories of just creaking. The food was above decent so that was probably the only good thing. They also gave us a ton of freedom so that was good to. I always hung out outside just alone with my thoughts. It is way more relaxing than people make it out to be, yet lonely. As soon as we entered the orphanage grounds I just went out in the backyard. Bonding with some butterflies.

"I wish Kanao was here." I sighed.

I curled up into a ball. That lasted 2 minutes, I was bored. So I went out to the main town. I went by a tree in the park and leaned against it. I heard some light laughter as background noise. The trees rustling and the natural smell. It was beautiful and felt like a big hug from mother nature. I curled up in a ball and closed my eyes, just to think.

I was just thinking about Kanao. She was so nice.

"Huh? Nezuko!" I looked up. It was her.

"Hey Kanao!" I cheered.

She sat down next to me.

"Are you doing okay?" She asked.

I let out a sigh, "No not really. I hate being in an orphanage, everyone is so happy all the time there, but I always feel so alone. I don't even talk most of the time when I'm there."

She put her arm around me and snuggled me close. I felt warm.

"It'll be okay, cry it out it' okay to cry." She said.

"Thank you." I smiled with light tears in my eyes.

I put my arms around her waist and we stayed there for at least an hour. I dug my face into her shoulder and smiled. We were like real girlfriends, and I loved it.

It was getting late but we didn't care. I think she likes me back. I smiled so hard my face started hurting.

"I-I really liked you Nezuko." She said suddenly.
