Butterflies

Chapter 4

Kanao's POV

It was the last day of school, or should I say, date day with Nezuko!!

I'm beyond excited so I put on a dress over my swimsuit. My dress had purple and blue butterflies along with a red and black ombre at the bottom. I'm so ready, maybe we'll kiss in public today! Oh wait we can't, I haven't told anyone. But that won't ruin my mood! I grabbed my bag with utilities for the waterpark and my phone, and wallet. I practically ran out the door. 

I was on campus when I looked around for Nezuko, that's when I saw her.

"Nezuko!!!" I said running up and hugging her.

"Kanao!" She exclaimed.

"Are you excited for today!" I said smiling.

"Yes, more than ever!" She was also wearing a dress, with pink and white spots on it. She looked beautiful.

"You looked gorgeous." I whispered.

"You look stunning she whispered back."

"Kanao! Nezuko!" It was Aoi, she was running up to us.

"Hey Aoi!" Nezuko replied.

"Hello, Aoi!" I waved.

"Hey, Nezuko! So how's your relationship with Kansuke?" She said, "Or....should I say Kanao."

My heart dropped.

"What?" I said.

"You guys are horrible at hiding it," She said reaching into her bag, "And the fact that I have this picture of you both kissing says different." She said holding up the picture in front of us.

I ripped it out of her hand.

"Can you keep it a secret?" Nezuko said, "Please."

"Alright," She said waking away, "Just know, my finger may slip, and I might post this on the internet, but after all, we'll never know!"

"That was weird." I said.

"Yea, how'd she get that picture?" Nezuko asked.

"I have no clue, but based on it, she took it when we were at the tree." I said.

"But don't worry, it'll be fine, hopefully." I said that last part in a whisper.

It was now the end of the school day. I can't believe today I was going on my first real date! I'm beyond excited. When we got far enough away from the school, me and Nezuko held hands.

We saw some butterflies on the way and played with them. I saw a very pretty one that looked just like my butterfly clip. It was glimmering in the sun. I saw her bright smile and slight fangs, they looked super sharp, whenever she laughed. She was, no *is* a gift from the gods. I'm so happy and content being a lesbian, being with a girl is more than I could ever ask for in this world.

We got to the waterpark. We ran to a slide. We slid down together. We got on the water rollercoasters and kissed each time we reached the top of one. I've never had more fun. We sat down and ate lunch. She even eats adorably! 

"So what do you think of today?" She asked.

"I love it! I'm so having so much fun!" I exclaimed.

"How about we head to the beach after!" She said.

"Yes! That's perfect!" I said.

We finished our lunch and sat on the lunging chairs for a while. My head felt heavy because of my soaking wet side ponytail. It was kinda annoying.

"Is every thing alright, Kanao?" Nezuko sat up and asked.

"Oh yeah, sorry." I said.

"Alright." She said and started laying back down, "We should start heading over to the beach!" She exclaimed and sat up.

"We should!" I said springing out of my seat and grabbing my bag. 

We started walking over to the beach. We sat down on the towel we set up.

"Kiss time?" I asked.

"Kiss time." She nodded.

We started kissing on our towel. It was around 7:00 P.M. so the sun was starting to set as well.

This had to be the best day of my life.

"Hey Nezuko?" I turned to her.

"Yes?" She said.

"So we're girlfriend and girlfriend now right?"

"Yes, Kanao!"

"So do you wanna come over to my house after this?" I asked.

She scooted closer to me.

"I would love that." She said and passionately kissed me.

We kept our foreheads touching and hands on each others cheeks. I rubbed her hand, her hands are so soft. I won at life.

"I would really like to do this again." I said with my eyes closed.

"Me too." She smiled.

We sat there and cuddled for at least an hour.

We started heading over to my house.

"You'll love my sisters, well, foster sisters." I said.

"Really?!" She said.

"Yup! Shinobu, the second oldest, actually has a girlfriend!" I exclaimed.

"Can't wait!" She smiled.

We walked in silence for another minute.

"Hey, Kanao." She said.

"Yes?"

"I'm not ready to tell anyone at all, about us or even me," She said, "Could we keep it a secret for at lest 2 more months?"

"Of course!" I said wrapping my arm around her shoulder, "Anything for you." I said "booping" her nose.

She laughed. We kissed one last time before we entered my house.

"Im home!" I shouted.

"How was the waterpark?!" Kanae said entering the room where the front door was located.

"Oh, you brought someone." She said.

"Oh yeah, this is Nezuko! Nezuko this is Kanae." I said pointing to her

"Very nice to meet you!" She smiled.

"You too." Kanae said.

"Where's Shinobu?" I said looking around.

"Oh, she's out with Mitsuri. They won't be back until either tomorrow or midnight." She said walking into the house.

"Alright, let's go to my room." I said.

"Alright." She responded.

We walked into the door.

"Would you like some extra clothes?"

"Yes, please."

I looked in my closet and gave her a black shirt and black sports shorts.

"Are these okay?"

"Yes, thank you."

She went into the bathroom and changed.

I changed into a tank top and shorts. She came out of the bathroom.

"You look beautiful." I said grabbing her shoulders.

"You look stunning." She replied.

We kissed. I got into bed first. She got in after. Tonight, I was the big spoon. We cuddled until we fell asleep.

This was the best day of my life.

I dug my nose into her back and feel asleep, happy to be with the woman I love.
