Naruto's Different Path

Chapter 10: Wave Mission Part 2

When they arrived at the other side of land, the boatman dropped them off and fled. They were making their way towards the Tazuna's house, when suddenly Naruto felt a presence. He threw a kunai into a bush where he felt the presence coming from.

Only for a scared rabbit to be there, shaking in fear.

"Way to go Naruto. You scared a rabbit." Sasuke chuckled.

Kakashi saw the color of the fur the rabbit had and immediately connected the dots. "Everyone get down!" Kakashi yelled as he tackled the bridge builder to the floor. While Naruto tackled Sasuke and Hinata. They were on the floor in time to see a large broadsword shaped like a butcher's knife come flying at them.

When the sword embedded itself into a tree, a man body flickered on it. The man was a tall and noticeably muscular man with light grayish skin, short spiky black hair, dark brown eyes, and no eyebrows. He was wearing bandages like a mask over the bottom half of his face, and he wore his forehead protector sideways on his head.

"Well well if it isn't Kakashi of the sharingan." Zabuza spoke. "It'll be fun taking you out."

"Zabuza Momochi, Demon of the Hidden Mist. Missing nin for attempted murder on the Mizukage. Master of the silent killing, and wielder of Kubikiribōchō, one of the seven swords of the mist."

"Ah so you've heard of little ol me." Zabuza chuckled out.

"Yes, and you've got quite the bounty. I'll be collecting it once I take care of you." Kakashi retorted.

"Well let's just see if you can! Hidden Mist Jutsu!" A huge mist soon covered the group. They were unable to see anything past five feet from their faces.

"Genin! For a triangle around Tazuna!" Kakashi yelled at his team.

"Kit." Kurama called Naruto.

'Yeah Kurama?'

"Let me play with this fool. Demon my ass. I'll show him a real demon." Kurama smirked evilly. "Just tell that sensei of yours that I'll take over for a bit."

'Alright Kurama.' Naruto turned to Kakashi. "Kakashi-sensei, Mr. Nine is going to take care of this. Just hang back and protect the others." Naruto said as he was stepping towards Zabuza.

Kakashi's eyes widened when he heard what Naruto was planning on doing. "Naruto no! You can't let him take over!" He yelled, only for it to fall on deaf ears. He was unaware that the Kyuubi, the strongest of all tailed beasts, had taken a liking towards Naruto.

"Relax Sensei." Sasuke chuckled. "Him and Mr. Nine are friends." He explained to Kakashi and left him greatly confused.

Before any could say anything else, there was a heavy amount of killer intent thrown at them.

"Haha! You think you, a simple genin can stop me!? The Demon of the Hidden Mist!?" Zabuza laughed out. "Well I'll give you this, you've got courage kid."

As Hinata and Sasuke were struggling to deal with the killing intent that was sent their way, it was countered making it easier on the genin. They turned to thank Kakashi, but when they saw a confused look on his face, they knew it wasn't his doing.

"Heheh. 'Demon of the Hidden Mist'. That's a nice name. Let me introduce myself then." Naruto spoke out with his voice getting deeper as he talked until he sounded like the Kyuubi. Kakashi, Hinata, and Tazuna were scared, while Sasuke was smiling and started to relax a little.

"I am the Kyuubi! The greatest and strongest of all the tailed beast! And you insult me by claiming to be a demon." He snarled using Naruto's body. His eyes change color to red and his pupils become slitted, his nails and canine teeth grow longer and sharper. Naruto's hair also grows longer and spikier, and the whisker-like marks on his cheeks widen and thicken and took a more feral look.
