Chapter 55: Kangmi

"This headache is killing me" Kangmi murmured as she sat straight while holding her head. She took a moment to stabilize herself before looking around and noticing that she was not at Dingxiang's apartment. Instead, she was sitting on a couch in someone's living room.

"as it should" A voice behind her said. She jumped and looked back to see Jaehyun. "have these for your headache" He gave her some pills and a glass of water.

Kangmi sighed in relief to see Jaehyun and took the pills in one go. "can you lower your voice?" She asked him and he shook his head.

"you intoxicated my boyfriend!" He exclaimed and Kangmi closed her eyes as the sound of Jaehyun's loud voice bounced around her head. Why did he have to be so loud?

"technically, he did it to himself", She responded as she rubbed her temples, "plus Taeyong needed to let himself get loose"

Jaehyun flicked her on the head. "Yeah but now he can't even stand up from the bed"

"from the alcohol or did you just fuck him really hard?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"alcohol, I didn't even get to the second part because he was too drunk"

Kangmi snorted at his response. "by the way, why am I here and not in my usual bed?"

"Kun did not want to deal with you since Hansol was drunk, Dingxiang took care of the passed out Zach, your brothers and Josh are busy, and it was either me or Johnny", Jaehyun responded and then bitterly added, "However, to my lovely luck since you and Taeyong were all giggly and talking you ended up on this couch"

"well thanks, now can I use a bathroom?" She asked and he nodded.

"take a shower in Emma's", he said and then handed her a bag, "here's a new toothbrush, a new towel, and clothes. now go shower"

"by the way, where's Emma?" Kangmi asked when she didn't see the girl.

"she went to buy tea for Taeyong"

"Is he really that out?", she said but then added, "you know what it makes sense, he had two shots of tequila"

"he what?" Jaehyun questioned with wide eyes. They all knew that Taeyong could barely take one shot of tequila let alone two.

"well, I'll go shower now"

After Kangmi was able to leave the apartment without looking like she just got into a fight, she took a taxi to her new office. However, first, she bought herself some food even though she had eaten at Jaeyong's apartment. More like she bought herself the coffee that she desperately needed.

At her office, she immediately looked in her computer to see if there were any new updates she should know about. Not to her surprise, she had an email from her eldest brother.

he's planning something from what it seems, but I don't know what it is since he doesn't let me in these kind of things. However, this seems to portray to you and Dingxiang so I would watch your back.

Kangmi frowned as she read the e-mail. What could the old man be planning this time? She sat there for a minute trying to figure out what he could do, but her thinking was interrupted by the voice of someone.

"what are you doing?"

Kangmi flinched as she heard the voice and sighed in relief when she saw Josh. "thank god it's just you" She murmured in relief.
