Chapter 46: Johnten

countdown: 1 month before David has to leave, 3 weeks before the concert

4:40 am

MONDAY

David woke up early because of his alarm which he had set because he had practice for the mini-concert that was coming up. Something tobe done almost every day according to Yeongdo. However, they still made sure to have some time left to spend with their parents.

Tiredly he stood up from his very comfortable bed and changed into something sporty and comfortable. He grabbed his phone, ate some cookies for breakfast, and grabbed a water bottle before leaving. Not forgetting to text Ten that he would be out for the day.

David arrived at the dance studio just right behind the twins and saw his best friend on the floor, Miyoung looking at herself in the mirror, and Emma was getting measured by Joshua. He made eye contact with Emma and smiled at her.

After everyone was done getting measured, Yeongdo had them sit on the floor. "ready for practice?" Yeongdo asked brightly and everyone groaned. "sounds like you are"

"Nope not even in the slightest", Jian answered sleepily. David had to agree on that, it was way too early in the morning.

"well this all needs to be ready within 3 weeks because the concert will be in THREE weeks", Yeongdo said and started handing them a packer of papers, "here are the lyrics to all the songs. The parts have already been divided, and the songs which you will actually dance are highlighted. Not everyone will be in every performance so make sure you read which song you are doing"

"this week you will focus more on the songs that require dancing, and I did hire a choreographer that will be here in a few minutes. make sure to learn all the songs and practice the duos. any questions?"

"No" The six teens responded as they went through the packet. David looked through most of his parts and noticed that he would not be singing 'Yestoday' but he would be doing 'the 7th sense' and would be covering Jaehyun's part. Then he realized that 'the 7th sense' was the hardest NCT song to cover. This was gonna be fun.

"Today you will start by learning Regular English version and 119 by NCT dream", Yeongdo said just as their choreographer came in, "good luck"

The six teens stood up from the floor and greeted the choreographer respectfully then looked at their leader for some reassurance. Emma looked at her bandmates and gave them reassuring smiles.

Johnny and Ten woke up an hour after David had left, and we're currently just laying in bed enjoying each other's comfort. Ten checked his phone like he always did and noticed a message from David saying that he had gone out.

"David's went out, he said 'I'll be out for the day with Jinwoo and Jian' " Ten informed Johnny as he read the text out loud. He wasn't really worried since David wasn't the crazy type who liked to break the rules and was more of a calm artist.

"that boy really is enjoying the freedom we give him", Johnny said. He chuckled remembering the times he, Kangmi, Jaehyun, Ten, and Mark went out and did stupid things. Well, they still do sometimes but life is busier nowadays.

Ten agreed. "at least he can't say that we're strict parents! now Johnny make me some breakfast", he said and lightly pushed Johnny out of the bed.

Johnny rolled his eyes at Ten and stood up from the bed to make his fiancee some breakfast. While cooking he thought about how they only had 1 month left with David. Not gonna lie he had gotten really close to the teenager. It was fun to tease and make fun of him, and he would really hate it if the teenager left. Plus he and Ten had talked about adopting him, so the only thing to do was to actually do it.
