THE SECOND SET HAD BEEN DRAGGING ON and on, a never-ending deuce between the two teams. Current powerhouse versus former powerhouse. The customers on the next table had vacated, content with their share of weekend-only special cupcakes and most probably sick of the four volleyball players even though the male setter hadn't done anything wrong.

The time-out of Shiratorizawa had ended, and Tendou Satori substituted with a shorter player with number 3 printed on his jersey, with elegantly coiffed ash-blonde hair ending in darker points, possessing a rather large yet lean build — the pinch server of Shiratorizawa.

The cheers signalled that his last name was Semi, a rather unique surname. Semi stood by the end of the court, ball in his hands. His dark brown eyes were narrowed, focused on a certain part of the Karasuno court. Spinning the ball once in his hands, he threw the ball at the whistle.

He performed a spike serve flawlessly, his form and force of the hit showing that number 3 was a good pinch server. The ace of Karasuno received the serve, which then flew out of court. Number five ran over to receive the ball, and the captain's spike rebounded against the three-person block. Rising into the air just above Shirabu's head, the setter leapt into the air to dump the ball over the net.

Karasuno's orangeheaded number 10 jumped to block him, when Shirabu changed his form and passed the ball over to the opposite side. Number three set the ball to number 8, who jumped in the air to spike the ball down. Karausno's number 10 jumped for the block too late, and the dark-haired wing spiker spiked the ball down between the captain and him.

26:27.

27:27, thanks to an insane back-set quick performed by none other than Kageyama Tobin and Hinata Shoyo.

Miho whistled, impressed. "Karasuno's number 10 is really fast, man. That set looks like one of our quicks." Kina nodded at that.

"Well, except for the fact that number 10's tempo isn't a first tempo attack. He ran and jumped way before Kageyama set the ball over to him, while when we do out attacks, I set the ball to you when you're running."

"Hinata-san has excellent athletic ability," Akaashi agreed, "his agility and reflexes are good, and he jumps high. All these qualities combined, attribute to him being a decent spiker able to keep up with a setter like Kageyama. If Hinata-san had more practice in volleyball, he would be much better than now."

"Sounds terrifying."

"Yeah, it does, doesn't it, Akane? I really wanna be able to spike like Hinata!"

27:28, Shiratorizawa's set point, again.

Kei got in a touch at Ushiwaka's spike, his hand flipping back as the ball ricocheted off and behind him, altering the downward course of the ball into a high motion, therefore giving more time for the back row players to get the ball.

Hinata ran for the ball, jumping over the barrier which a referee lifted away to avoid any collision, receiving the ball over to the court. Hinata fell onto the flat barrier, number 5 bumping the save over to the court line where Kageyama spiked the ball over. Number 12 of Shiratorizawa saved the ball with his right wrist, falling onto the floor. Karausno's ace bumped the ball over to Kageyama, and Hinata spiked the ball down before the opponent had any chance of reacting.
