Callum sat cross-legged on the floor of his room, surrounded by an array of magical artifacts and spell books. In front of him, perched on a small cushion, sat Bait, a glow toad with yellow skin speckled with blue dots that shimmered in the dim light of the room. Bait, Erzan's beloved friend , didn't show much emotion but he liked jelly tarts just as much as Erzan.

"Ah, Bait, you are such a good listener," Callum remarked, his voice filled with glee as he reached out to stroke the glow toad's smooth skin. "What do you think of this?" he inquired, holding up a small crystal orb that emitted a soft, ethereal glow.

Bait remained stoic, his eyes fixed on the orb as if he were contemplating its mysteries. Although he didn't display much emotion, Callum always sensed a profound understanding in the creature's gaze.

"This, my friend, is a crystal of divination," Callum explained, holding the orb up to the light. "With it, one can peer into any conversation, provided you have the person's name and a sample of their hair."

Bait's expression remained unchanged as he watched the swirling patterns of light within the crystal. He hopped closer, his tongue darting out to touch the surface of the orb with a gentle flick.

Callum recoiled slightly at the unexpected touch of Bait's tongue, his face contorting into a mixture of surprise and amusement. "Yes, yes, it's quite fascinating, isn't it?" he chuckled, reaching for a nearby cloth to wipe away the residue. "But magic is not just about connecting to the respective elements; it's about understanding the world around us and harnessing its power to shape into energy that we channel then form into spells ."

With a wave of his hand and a spoken spell, Callum summoned a gentle breeze that rustled Bait's skin and sent nearby objects fluttering in the air. "Take wind magic, for example," he continued, his voice tinged with excitement. "With just a few simple incantations, one can manipulate the very air itself, bending it to their will."

Bait watched in boredom as Callum began to weave intricate patterns with his fingers, his words flowing like a melody as he chanted the incantation. "Levare Ventum," he intoned, his voice resonating softly in the room.

Instantly, a gust of wind filled the room, lifting objects from their resting places and sending them swirling in a mesmerizing display of magic. Books,Jelly tarts, feathers, and trinkets danced around the room, guided by Callum's skillful understanding of air magic.

Bait croaked in delight, his body began to glow with happiness as he observed the spectacle unfold before him.

Callum grinned, feeling a surge of pride as he sensed the raw power coursing through the air, connecting him to the very essence of wind itself.

As the wind magic subsided and the objects returned to their original positions, Callum sat back, a contented smile playing on his lips. He glanced at Bait, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "So, my friend, what do you think?" he asked, see any reaction showing Bait's thoughts on the demonstration.

Bait glanced up at Callcum with unblinking eyes, as if didn't care about his inner turmoil. Meeting the toad's gaze, Callcum couldn't help but voice the question that had been plaguing him.

"Am I going crazy?" he asked, the words hanging heavy in the air.

Callcum hesitated as he offered the jelly tart to Bait, the greedy toad. Watching Bait eagerly snatch the treat with his tongue, Callcum couldn't shake the nagging doubt that lingered in his mind—was he going crazy, conversing with an amphibian?

Since Rayla's departure, Callcum felt a growing emptiness within him. Memories of her laughter played like a vivid reel in his mind, accompanied by the delicate movement of her pointed ears in response to sound. The absence of her presence left him questioning his sanity.
